All of those other massive investments paid dividends almost immediately. The use case was simple: transport people and things more quickly. The pollution downsides took years to manifest. What's the use case for AI when people are actively avoiding it in their daily life, even peripherally?

Super interesting! Imo having people detail out what their money is meant for before they get it is a great way to handle it even of it doesn't always work. It is interesting how shitty partners saw this as a challenge to their authority & increased their violence. Sad but unsurprising.
