🤖 Can AI improve diagnostic reasoning in nephrology? In the REFINE trial, GPT-5 assistance increased Top-3 diagnostic accuracy (57.5% vs 37.2%) and Top-1 accuracy (51.5% vs 33%). Nearly 48% of incorrect answers were corrected after AI input. #Nephrology #AI #MedEd

TRACK: In advanced CKD (G4-G5/dialysis), rivaroxaban 2.5 mg BID did not reduce MACE vs placebo (HR 1.09), increased major bleeding (HR 1.51), and offered no net clinical benefit. Key lesson: don’t extrapolate COMPASS/VOYAGER to advanced CKD. #NephJC #CKD

PPIs remain linked to important 🫘 safety concerns 👉🏻 AKI, incident CKD, & progression to ESKD. Mechanistically, AIN appears central. Emerging data also suggest that P-CABs/vonoprazan may carry nephrotoxicity signals, comparative safety data are still evolving. #AKICRRT2026
