A Virginia Beach woman is recovering in the hospital after a piece of construction material allegedly fell on top of her car while she was driving on Elbow Road Monday evening.
Two of the woman's dogs were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. One was severely injured and taken to a veterinarian, while the other, a German shepherd named Mikey, ran away during the chaos.

Post from Nextdoor Last night at about 2:30AM on Graydon Ave, we were awoken by an extremely troubled sounding man screaming bloody murder in front of (or next to, who knows) my house seemingly out of nowhere in what sounded like broken Japanese followed by
"NOW YOU WILL FACE MY WRATH" before it became indistinguishable and then he was silent for the rest of the night. Not sure if he ran off or what but it scared us like crazy, he was loud enough where we thought he may have been inside of our house. Not really looking for anything specific here but I was wondering if this was a neighborhood cryptid we didn't know about or probably just a one-off situation. If this becomes a regular occurrence maybe we won't get freaked out as bad next time.
