A very handsome cock.

Taylor Hornbill is riding their skateboard down a ramp. Part-way down, the angle of the ramp changes. At that point, they jump off in some direction at some velocity. At what angle / velocity would they need to jump in order to land on the skateboard again when the ramp levels out?
A physics problem with an inclined plane. From right to left, a poorly-represented skateboarder on a skateboard is going down a steep incline. An arrow indicates that we move to where the incline becomes less steep. The skateboarder jumps off, indicated by a curved arrow, to where the skateboarder and skateboard may or may not meet up when the ground levels out. Will they? Only you can do the math to find out!

My neighbors named this one Taylor Swift.
A brown and white spotted hawk, sitting on a fence in front of a mottled tree-scape.

I just received this baffling mail. This letter was the entire contents of the mail, and the envelope had no organization name on it, just a return address in Milwaukee, WI. There's no concrete call to action here, just vague advocacy boilerplate, and only the barest mention of even an organization.
A photo of a letter, with the following text (any transcription mistakes are my own):

Dear ANDREW,

As a Working America volunteer, I want to highlight the need for more affordable housing through new construction. Many families are finding it increasingly hard to find affordable and decent housing.

My cousin was forced to move because she was not able to find any housing that she could afford, throwing her children's education and family in to chaos. We must support policies and programs that make affordable housing accessible for working people.

We need to advocate for policies that promote the building of affordable housing to meet the needs of our growing communities. This is essential for ensuring everyone has access to safe and affordable homes. Together, we can work towards creating more affordable housing options for all.

Sincerely,

Katie [or Kate, it's a photocopied hand signature, so it's hard to tell]

It's time for my annual IPA, because I like to have a hoppy Easter.
A round stemmed glass of a beer, specifically Heist Brewery's "Phantasm of the Opera" DIPA.

I don't know how in the future they manage to use AWS managed NAT gateways to solve crime, but that's clearly what they're using here. (From "The Defenseless Dead" by Larry Niven) cc: @quinnypig.bsky.social
Screenshot of text saying: “That would blow the whole thing, wouldn’t it? I did a lot of extrapolating from two beams of green light. One ex-organlegger tries to make holes in one ARM agent, and now we’ve committed tens of thousands of man-hours and seventy or eighty computer-hours on the strength of it. If they’d been planning to tie us up, they couldn’t have done it better.”

Today I learned about the delightfully-named program "pee" in moreutils, which works like tee(1), but with pipes. Be sure not to search for its man page on Google.
