The one application for AI I'd be happy to see more for is accessibility, but right now while it can make photorealistic anime girls and deep fakes of Trump, screen readers still can't distinguish what a fucking text box is or read a merged cell. Can't even do alt text right for this gif 👇

Kudos to @seiu503.bsky.social who aren’t backing down in the fight for affordable healthcare! Hundreds of Marion County employees from nearly every department plan to strike TODAY. These working people keep our communities running & shouldn’t be forced to skip doctor visits!

Really? I didn't think you could get Wounded unless the roll was a failure? I'll have to re-read that section, but that's an interesting trait too!

010

Rise of the Rulelord 🛑🛡️💀 @rulelord2e.com · 10/09/2026

Okay, that's what I figured! If it can be more clear in the final product that might be helpful. Like I said, it's implied by the former sections talking about Omen dice, but the section about Risky seems vague on it while Harmless explicitly clarifies that. But that makes a lot of sense!

000

Rise of the Rulelord 🛑🛡️💀 @rulelord2e.com · 10/09/2026

So does a Risky failure also cause a wound of an Omen dice is drawn?

200

Rise of the Rulelord 🛑🛡️💀 @rulelord2e.com · 10/09/2026

That's the only thing I saw from a Host (GM) perspective. Everything else has made sense so far. I'm interested to see how DC's based on the Acts plays out. I can see how it will increase the difficulty which results in more character death, but I like how it's viewed as an essential inevitability

000

Rise of the Rulelord 🛑🛡️💀 @rulelord2e.com · 10/09/2026

The only other difference is Risky fails can result in lost/damaged gear. I'm not sure how serious that is until I actually play a game, but that does not seem like a big enough difference when both can cause Strain. Feels like Risky needs a bigger consequence or Harmless shouldn't result in Strain

100

Rise of the Rulelord 🛑🛡️💀 @rulelord2e.com · 10/09/2026

The Risky and Harmless failure is virtually the same. But Harmless says if a roll is failed with an Omen die it doesn't cause Harm. I think it's implied that failed Risky rolls with an Omen dice can also cause Harm as well as a Strain, but doesn't explicitly say that. Otherwise both result in Strain

I'm really enjoying 13 Omens so far. Has a great mix of the narrative simplicity I love about Monster of the Week but also has more crunch like Pathfinder that I know my players will enjoy. I've only found 1 mechanical issue (continued) so far, but otherwise I'm very excited for the Kickstarter!

The two preview PDFs are available immediately after reserving, giving you a chance to step into the world of 13 Omens before the campaign begins.

The Bequeathed Grape Pin will be included with your pledge when you back the Kickstarter.

And this is only the first Early Omen.

Another reservation perk unlocks in just FIVE DAYS.

Masters of the Universe was a FUN movie, and honestly Leto's Skeletor carried a lot of it. Seemed like it tried to pick up on the same vibe as the D&D movie, and I think it worked really well. Shame both are considered flops, I wouldn't mind more movies like this that are just FUN

These are my feelings on the Paizo response as well. I don't think this is a reason to boycott Paizo. I do think it's cause to have a more critical eye on future changes. It can be true that this is *somehow* a better financial choice for Paizo AND for it to be a bad, short sighted decision.

I don't think this is a "stop supporting Paizo moment" But we also can't pretend this isn't a major shake up. I'm really worried this is a prelude to some corporate fuckery for short term gains. No shade to most Paizo folks, but John Paizo needs to know we're upset.
