I'm not a Brewers fan necessarily, I'm not from Milwaukee or have any connection to Wisconsin. I just don't like seeing teams like the Dodgers, Yankees, etc being able to buy their way to championships. So I go with the underdogs.

Dear websites that ask for my email so you can send a verification link for setting up an account: over half the time, said email never reaches my inbox, nor do I find it in my junk/spam folder! It's almost as aggravating as logging in to an account I just created and it says "incorrect password"

One of my favorite shrubs native to the eastern U.S., Euonymus americana, or strawberry bush, or hearts a'burstin. Pink seed capsules open to reveal red drupes in fall. #Plants
This image shows a close-up of a plant with bright pink, textured fruit capsules that have split open to reveal shiny, bright orange-red seeds inside. The fruits are surrounded by vibrant green leaves on a thin stem.
The plant appears to be a species of Euonymus, commonly known as spindle tree or strawberry bush, which is known for these distinctive and colorful seed pods that emerge in the autumn.

Tested positive for COVID last night; not feeling too terrible, just a bad head cold so far. Staying home until I have two negative tests, though. Multiple co-workers out sick. Sucks to live in a time where ppl feel they have to work even when not feeling well for fear of not being able to pay bills

Winterberry Holly (Ilex verticillata) sure does pop this time of year. The berries will be there long after the leaves. They are one of those long-lasting, lower-value food sources that sustain the birds that brave our winters. #nativeplants #nature #holly #ecoregion59
A stone chip/dirt path lines by fallen leaves and a fence on the left, with Winterberry Holly, weighed down by berries, drooping over the fence. Red berries and green leaves of Ilex verticillata, with the leaves of the grapes that have climbed on top showing a pale yellow-green, contrasting the dark green holly leaves.

I'd say I'm at a loss as to why, in the year 2026, we can't make printers work and iPhones/Androids play nice with each other, but the answer is probably because there's no money in solving those issues. Capitalism for ya.

Really disappointed to see Kroger and Publix (maybe others as well) packaging more and more produce in plastic. It's not necessary and it is so horrible for the environment. We are going in the wrong direction on so many different fronts. #Food
A grocery store produce shelf with several trays of root vegetables and greens. On the top shelves are pale parsnips, with price tags reading $3.00 and $4.00. On the bottom shelf are okra, red-and-white radicchio, and a partial tray of another vegetable at the right edge.A produce display with a pile of green apples on the left and stacked plastic trays of red apples in the center. An empty dark counter or display surface runs along the right side.

Can't sleep because I"m absolutely roasting in my room, even with the fan going. My mom keeps the house at 78º all the time, which I understand the power bills keep going up but it would be well worth it to me to chip in extra for rent if we could get the temperature closer to 70 at night 🥵
