Honestly, considering this was towards the end of the AGM, everyone still looks pretty keen actually! Which I find delightful!

The BCTF AGM was a wild ride this year as a first time delegate with Surrey. I can’t wait to do this again… #sd36tl #skybrarians #surreyschools #TLSky #sd36learn #BCEd #EDUSky #BCTF #STA

Sometimes you buy a toy for your dog but sometimes it’s secretly for you because giggling is great.

Sometimes I like to sneak into teachers classrooms and draw rainbows on their windows with chalk markers! 2025 is off to a great start. #sd36tl #skybrarians #surreyschools #TLSky

Sometimes I am reminded by amazing parents that being a librarian is impactful and although we don’t see it every day, it’s still out there. Thanks to this kindergarteners mom for reminding me why I do this. #sd36tl #skybrarians #surreyschools #TLSky #sd36learn #BCEd #EDUSky

If an adukt tries to restrict reading to a particular "Reading level," they are making a mistake and harming that student's reading in multiple ways. Might as well restrict their reading based on their height. /end

What a busy week! Here are some highlights! Spending a day talking all things #AI in #sd36learn with likeminded educators included this amazing #sd36tl @rsundset.bsky.social whose crown brought a smile to my face, and an even bigger smile when she made & gifted me my own 😍 #MyKidsAreJealous #TLSky

Two people looking at the camera. They both are wearing crocheted crowns on their heads

Sometimes I get to hang out with like minded teachers and work on cool stuff that will impact our whole district. I’m thankful for this opportunity to collaborate on AI!

I decided to do this with my kid this year to prepare for when we eventually go on a trip to Japan. Surprisingly so fun to learn with him like this and we love our stats! He also does the math and music in addition to our language learning. Current streak is 66 days.

It was so much fun. And the students reaction when I read the story with showing the pictures was priceless.

It was really cool to see the ones who were very literal and the ones who had fun with it!

I love doing wild things with books like giving students the text of a picture book but letting them come up with their own illustrations before seeing the actual full picture book! If you know, you know… #sd36tl #skybrarians #surreyschools #TLSky #sd36learn #BCEd #EDUSky #BookSky

I love it when my library monitors feel inspired enough to create a beautiful bulletin board for me with minimal instructions. “Make it about books, and could we get a rainbow in there?” Wow did they ever deliver!
