FACT OF THE DAY. 27 May 1942. Reinhard Heydrich (aged 39) SS official and key figure in the organisation of the Holocaust was bomb attacked in Prague by 2 Czechoslovakian assassins, trained in Britain: Jozef Gabčík and Jan Kubiš. Heydrich died 8 days later in hospital.

12 August 1886 | A Romanian Jewish woman, Leontina Löbel, was born in Galați. She lived in Prague. She was deported to #Auschwitz from #Theresienstadt Ghetto on 18 December 1943. She did not survive.
