My daughter’s speech therapist went out of business because Medicaid reimbursement rates were too low. We do not have Medicaid. I’m going to keep posting this until people understand that when Medicaid gets cut *everyone* loses services.

Somehow the following two things are true: - most actual scientists cannot read my work for free, and there are strict rules about when/whether I’m allowed to send a copy of my work to an interested fellow scientist - Mark Zuckerberg can just steal it and use it to train his AI tools for profit.

Happy new year! Today we celebrate the 30-year anniversary of a meta-analysis of 22 placebo-controlled studies (Gam, 1995) which described the evidence for US for MSK disorders. NONE of them gave evidence that pain relief could be achieved by US. Prepare students for their future, not our past.

The National Health Interview Survey using data through 2020 showed that 9% of people avoid medical care due to the cost. This likely dissuades potential PT patients due to the frequency of PT visits compared to medical visits.
