I was working on Magician while working Fool, as a compass for where Fool needed to go next. Magician will cover a "summer speedrun" where I show moments of what Ghoul does from Apr-Sep. Thought it'd be a cool idea to aside to the same events from an alt perspective for for a lil bit first.

I have friends in person who I know have seen TBLS, and when they read it, they noticed first time.

Roxy Rockett @roxyrockett.bsky.social · 30/08/2026

imo the point of foreshadowing is it CAN be missed on first experience, and makes the reread better once noticed. not all gags are related to the story, some are homages to other stuff I like or just memes. a freebie I'll give is p1 of News features Sassy's bucket hat from The Big Lez Show

Roxy Rockett @roxyrockett.bsky.social · 30/08/2026

News as a subchapter is very short, wrapped up at 7 pages total, I think the comic equivalent to a 4-5 min cartoon. she's not following one story at first, but notices a pattern between different stories she's heard throughout the county all summer, and wants to dig deeper into their connection

I'm not a stranger to discipline and am willing to put in the effort to get that payoff if I can. some clues are visible but would probably be written off. there are also a few hidden visual gags, so not every detail is a clue, but still pays off a keen eye. I also try to use color symbolism

Roxy Rockett @roxyrockett.bsky.social · 30/08/2026

The Fool follows Ghoul's story on April 1st 2049. News starts as a quick montage following a teen junior news reporter named Dust as she spends summer tracking a story. The Magician will rewind back to April to show summer again from Ghoul's POV. Dust will integrate to the main canon as a side char

Roxy Rockett @roxyrockett.bsky.social · 30/08/2026

well rn News is the only subchapter. I didnt come up with the idea for it til I was wrapping up Fool and getting ready for Magician. I wanted extra world flavor from another new char's perspective. you could skip it theoretically, but there's bonus foreshadowing and worldbuilding you'd miss

Roxy Rockett @roxyrockett.bsky.social · 30/08/2026

I want to make a "mindfuck" story, the sorta thing where people read through it, then go back to the beginning and notice small details and are like "OH SHIT THIS WAS PLANNED THE WHOLE TIME!" preplanning far in advance makes that easier, the hard part is I get overeager to rush to the later parts

100

Roxy Rockett @roxyrockett.bsky.social · 30/08/2026

I dont currently have plans to make subchapters based on minor arcana, bc the point of the subchapters is to provide myself the leeway to write supplementary side stuff within the world that isnt strictly limited to the same atructure as the main story being told

100

Roxy Rockett @roxyrockett.bsky.social · 30/08/2026

I wanted to intentionally take on a serious commitment bc the years of my adult life so far that WERENT spent on art felt really empty like I was just going through the motions. I have almost all the major plot points I need planned out to make it to the end, and want to better myself thru my art

100

Roxy Rockett @roxyrockett.bsky.social · 30/08/2026

yeah! all major chapters will be the major arcana in order, starting with The Fool and (should I stay healthy and safe and not die tragically) ending with The World. there'll be a small handfull of subchapters that dont follow that format, like News

The world is becoming harsher for transgender people right now. Darkness stretches before and behind them, and the pain is growing. Their wish remains simple — to love who they love and live true to themselves🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈 This is why we must join hands and change the world with compassion.

2026 /// 2025 I thought a fun way I could see both how far I've come as an artist as well as how much Mars's design has changed would be to redo this old art of her from over a decade ago! #oc #art

soft sunday warmup. I don't regularly use digital paints and tend to avoid them, so I thought playing around with them would be a fun way to practice today. have a cute, oil painted, limited palette Mars!

What a good movie that was. I wonder if they ever made a sequel.

REGINALD: Hello, 911? Yes, my friend put on the mask from The Mask and now he's acting abnormally.
BEARTATO (green): "I'M SSSSSMOKING!"

REGINALD: Green, yeah. Real cartoony.
Yeah, he's saying all the lines but he's not getting them right.
BEARTATO (spinning in a tornado): "SOMEBODY PLEASE STOP ME!"

REGINALD: I see. And that's the only solution?
Mm hmm. No, I understand. Thank you.
BEARTATO (hitting self with large mallet): "OH, BEHAVE!"

REGINALD (shedding a tear while loading a shotgun)
BEARTATO (dreamworks face): "DO *NOT* GO IN THERE!"

Some transgender people see only darkness in front and behind them. The current climate is especially accelerating this. Transgender people just want to love the people they love and live their lives as themselves. Let's all join hands and change the world🫶🌏🫶
