The main drawing is of two men, Tobias Smith and Stellan Holmgren, in bed. Tobias is asleep in Stellan's arms, his head on his shoulder. The text shows the men have got over their differences and just want to be together. The lower text boxes show that Tobias finally got to enjoy Paris with Stellan. They also show Selbourne made an advantageous agreement with the original owners of the jewels to return them. He also threatened the gang who took Tobias with a full on war with the Snake and Dagger organisation if they interfered in his business again. Stellan and Tobias enjoyed the company of friends, including Phillipe and his lover, so much they felt quite sad when the time came to leave.

The text shows two men, Stellan Holmgren and Phillipe Armand, who have overpowered the guards, going into a darkened room where a third man, Tobias Smith, is being held. He is thankful it is them. Stellan is outraged and wants to teach the guards a lesson, but Phillipe says there is no time, as more guards will arrive soon. The drawings show a close up of an enraged Stellan Holmgren and a second drawing of Stellan and Phillipe supporting a semi conscious Tobias, as they make it back to the boat they have at the back of the warehouse where they broke in. It is a difficult journey, but eventually they complete both the boat journey, and a further difficult trek to the safety of Selbourne's residence.

An excellent work from @hookland.bsky.social writer David Southwell. As a child of the late 1960s and early 70s strangeness, all this resonates, especially as I grew up in a council house definitely built on ghost soil, which C Josiffe would have loved. Hookland is the home of our imagination.

He tells Cecil de Quincy he knows he murdered their brother to gain his estate and money, and says he was only trying to kill Cecilia Tregarron because he thought she knew he had done so. The second text box shows that, seeing the other Snake and Dagger men approaching him, he throws himself off the nearby cliff. Two of the men, Goron and Gryffyn Denzel, scramble down the cliff path, but he is dead. They bring his body up to the cliff top. The others go back to Sudley End to get a cart to bring the body to the undertaker.
