I've been doing trans rights related work for a decade and I don't think I've ever had so many friends in community in crisis. People are cracking under the weight of the despair of the current moment. I don't know what to do at this point. It's all so incredibly heavy.

On Wednesday, The Trevor Project released its 2025 U.S. National Survey on the Mental Health of LGBTQ+ Young People. Its headline findings are about suicidality: 36% of LGBTQ+ young people surveyed seriously considered attempting suicide in the past year.
