This whole thread is everything (including the quotes). All of the answers are correct. For me, there are arguably films that formally look better, but nothing uses its stunning beauty to support the film quite like “Let The Right One In”

Two children sit on a snow covered playground set at night.

A corpse hangs upside down from a birch tree into the snow at night.

A close up of a young woman’s face with a few splatters of blood on it.

A person stands under a street light in a snow covered birch grove

Anyway, please tell your loved ones at least not to use AI and redirect them to a designer you know. Trust me, whatever they design will devour whatever AI pumps out.

I did NOT give ArtStorm Games permission to use my design in #ModernWarships but I have to admit they did a beautiful job on the model and nailed every nonsensical detail to far higher fidelity than I ever did!

My parents took me to see this on the big screen when I was a hyper-sensitive, neuro-divergent 5 year old.

The evil queen from Disney’s animated Snow White during her transformation scene. White hair is exploding out of her head as she grabs her throat with a look of abject terror on her face.

The South Side Pope and Andres Serrano have an opportunity to do the funniest collab of all time…

A screengrab of a tweet from the Pontifex account. It reads:

In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.

They must be suppressed, full stop. They have broken the social contract and must be hounded from our midst. Look up Sir Karl Popper’s Paradox of Tolerance if you have any qualms, reassure yourself, then go out and fight them.

Two posts from @AnarchoNinaWrites@jorts.horse:

The first post:

You don't convince nazis. You make them afraid to do nazism. It's that simple. You are not special, you are not smarter than 100 years of antifascists of various types, before you.
You don't "fix" nazis; you make them hide.

The second post:

I do not care about providing a way back for the nazis. I do not care that some of them, happen to be labor class and extremely fucking stupid. I do not care what happens to nazis beyond forcing them back into their basements and making them absolutely fucking TERRIFIED to spread their eliminationist beliefs in public. I am not looking to "fix" nazis; I am here to fight them.
Finally, I am begging you to consider a politics beyond "convincing cracker reactionaries we've been right all along."
