The only people who should give a toss whether a film is a box office flop or not are studio executives. It definitely shouldn't be mentioned in reviews like it's some kind of measurement of quality. You wouldn't order a meal based on how much profit it makes for the restaurant

I’d say it’s worth seeing it in the flesh to seem if you feel it, rather than buying online sight unseen. There’s a lot of very unusual design choices in it. It’s not a toy but it’s not an X-100 vi either. I think it’s for people who either have no cameras, or for people who have too many cameras.

Remember the Fujifilm X-half? Pretty little portrait aspect ratio thing with film simulation modes, no ibis, some bonkers interface decisions, no raw, but a preposterous price point? Amazingly they kept updating the firmware, & you can get one new for at ½ the launch price. Suddenly v compelling.

It's a weird thing, at least to me. I vibe coded an app that would never otherwise exist that is *incredibly* useful to me (it scans a folder of images and renames then according to what the image is and what's in the exif) but would I unleash it unto the world? Oooof.

That rings true to me. It’s a big rambunctious film and it’s a whale of a time. The negative reviews I’ve read seem to be trying to unpeel a great mystery when it’s really not that deep. It’s … a very entertaining couple of hours.
