And there is SO much silence from many. This cannot be the way our democracy dies.

Healthcare for all that is not tied to a person's employment, business, etc. Universal.

Rose Castro @rosesarehappy.com · 01/02/2025

Silence is a luxury for those who aren't forced to defend their existence. The rest of us speak because the truth makes the comfortable squirm, not because it's wrong—but because it exposes what they refuse to confront.

Rose Castro @rosesarehappy.com · 01/02/2025

They want us to be desperate and afraid. Don't fall for it! It is not going to be easy. But we will make it through. We are not quivering to the psychopaths in charge. Stay the course. Remember who you are. Invoke your ancestors. Know who is safe in your community.

Rose Castro @rosesarehappy.com · 01/02/2025

Not all of us have the luxury of staying silent. Yes, some of our own voted against our interest. But I'll be damned if I shrivel up instead of fighting for democracy of all, even those who are comfortably able to ignore the atrocities being committed.

Rose Castro @rosesarehappy.com · 01/02/2025

The last few days feel like we've been going through hell. Stay the course. They want to exhaust and scare us. Do not give them the satisfaction. Remember who you are. Reach out to safe members in your communities for help. But do not relent.

Saw this on Nextdoor: large-scale nuclear training in NY. I’m across the country—should we be aware of something deeper, or is this normal? Sharing to fact-check responsibly. #CommunitySafety #PublicAwareness #FactCheck #IsThisNormal #CitizenNews #DisasterPreparedness

F*ck! Not to be an alarmist, but it’s better to be prepared. Y’all, having a stash of cash and emergency food supplies doesn't hurt. Yes, be a prepper because anything is possible anymore. Also, we are probably headed into another pandemic, but you won’t know since he’s shut down coms.

It’s amazing to me that politicians don’t commit to post first on @bsky.app and to engage with constituents here THIS is more powerful than CNN , MSNBC, The Post will ever be. You can broadcast for 9 mins on a declining medium, or engage here and start a real discussion. Which is more powerful?

I love with the ACA has done for people with pre-existing conditions. But. Let's face reality, ACA 2013 was a different world. Since then Insurance Companies have learned how to game the system. For the subsidized silver/94 and /87 plans, around ~15 % of taxpayer $ stays with ins comps!

These extraordinary photos of the LA fires have been shared widely on social media, often without crediting the photographer. These are all the work of Ethan Swope, an LA-based photojournalist working for AP. You can follow his remarkable reporting here👇 www.instagram.com/ethanswopeph...

A street is orange from flames and you can see the high winds in the palm trees. Sparks fly down the street

A fire truck is engulfed in parks and flames are seen on the hill. The entire photo is red and orange from the fire

A fireman with a hose runs across the front of a house in flames in the background

The inside of a house is a ball of flames. The only visible thing inside is a burning Christmas tree

1/ Nice tidbit in a supplemental filing from Nauta & De Oliveria, confirming they realize Judge Cannon lacks jurisdiction to bar release of Special Counsel's report. Of course, she never had jurisdiction over the J6 case & can't bar that part, but she dismissed the MAL case & can't act further on it

Fast-moving fires forced more than 30,000 people in the Los Angeles area to evacuate their homes. The fires are intensifying because of fierce winds, the strongest in Southern California in more than a decade. Here’s the latest on the blazes.

MAGA is going to love this: California is projected to have a budget surplus this year. Gov. Gavin Newsom plans to boost savings, fund legal battles against Trump, and skip spending cuts—all while keeping programs like free pre-K on track. A solid boost for the resistance.
