Scotland would not be leaving the UK it would be ending it. Scottish Independence requires the Treaty of Union to be revoked. At that the entity known as the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is dissolved. Whatever the remainder calls itself it won't be UK. Why? No Kingdoms United

NI Unionists cite the 1800 Acts in court too, usually unsuccessfully. The Act that incorporated Scotland in the UK is no different to any other Act, it can be repealed/amended. The 1800 Act of Union was heavily amended the 1920 Govt of Ire. Act, itself repealed by one line in the NI Act 1998.
