It feels entirely like a deception to me that I ended up caring about a rapist who never once faced actual consequences for his, and let's be honest here, crimes. Rehabilitative justice does not exist in a vacuum and must be paired with other elements of what justice actually is.

As someone in favour of rehabilitative justice, the justice part still is absolutely important. Geller faced next to no repercussions for his actions and THAT is where the vitriol comes from. Had I known he did this before I may not have ever followed his bluesky and subbed to his YouTube

Justice is not only one part of justice and anyone with any level of knowledge can tell you that. He sexually assaulted someone and basically got away with it, hell he became famous after the fact.
