At a minimum this lends itself to accusations of authoritarianism - that the government is targeting anti-corruption reforms at its political opposition. It is not at all clear what other purpose such an ineffective and limited policy achieves

Having seen footage from October 7th, which was cut down for screenings to preserve the dignity of victims and their grieving families, Owen Jones determined that an image of a burned female corpse with no underwear on was "not what you would consider conclusive evidence of rape”

Scandals, polls, promises. Rinse, repeat. Big money in politics enables corruption and erodes public trust. Next week MPs will debate the government's elections and democracy bill, and if they are willing, they can use that bill to finally do something about it. It's time for a cap on donations.
