Our call for case stories on Non-Economic Loss and Damage is extended to October 7. Climate loss and damage gets argued over in dollars, and whatever can't be priced (health, culture, heritage, the right to stay in a place) drops out. We want to tell these stories.

Wolfgang Kaleck has no illusions about how strong the law is. He uses it anyway, for Patrice Lumumba's family and for survivors of Assad's prisons. On Sept 30 he discussed his new book, The Power of Law, with Sakiko Fukuda-Parr and Philip Alston at The New School.
Event recap graphic on a yellow background. A red EVENT label, then the headline What good is international law? and the line Can feminist, decolonial and ecological interventions defend the rule of law and defend human rights? Book tour with Wolfgang Kaleck. Two photos in brown frames: a full room of people facing a panel under a projected cover of his book The Power of Law, and Kaleck smiling at a microphone beneath the cover. Text: In conversation with Sakiko Fukuda-Parr and Philip Alston at The New School. September 30, 2026. Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung New York Office logo.

Our office has been a true believer in reforming the UN Charter to make it actually represent today's world from day one. Last night we sponsored the Article 109 reception pushing that case forward, alongside Helen Clark and dozens of others. The work has only just begun!
