I finally finished my embellished hanging display setup for @soengery.bsky.social ‘s plaque!! I love them, they’re so friend shaped

A painted wood plaque cut out in the shape of a many-armed bat creature. Plaque is suspended by beaded string with tiny skulls, crowns, stars, red droplets, and black moths. A black stone hexagonal pendant hangs from the base. The background is a white wall.

It’s that time again for me to share random wips of ocs (mostly k) and then go lay in a corner

Line drawing of k (a monster oc) making a k pop heart sign with their hand

A line drawing of k (a monster oc) casually drinking boba and wearing a shirt that says “I heart my tiny wife”. Beside them is ret, who is half their height and upset. Shes got a messy side braid and is a human oc. She’s surrounded by speech bubbles that say “omfg” “k!!” “Look!” “At!” “Me!” “Fuck” “k!!!” “Pay attention!” “I’m mad at you!!”

A line drawing of a cat playfully curled up on his side and eyeing the viewer while surrounded by various flowers

A line drawing of a two panel comic featuring k (a monster oc) and ret (a human oc with a messy side braid) in the first panel ret is speaking into a microphone while k looms beside her. Ret: “hey k? The public wants to know: how are u such a baddie?” In the second panel k bends to speak into the microphone ret extends toward them, their dialogue bubble is distorted. K: “I do a lot of murder”

Korimor (they/them), the amorphous, evil, shadow monster love interest from my novel My hobbies are trying to draw them and also trying to draw them (deranged edition)

Drawing of a horned shadow monster with too many eyes and hands in the wrong places facing to the left. Character appears to be holding a hand of another character who is cropped out

My other big obsession right now is like… the little modular blindbox bjd and mjd dolls. We have touched on this before With my depression flaring up the closer I get to dad’s memorial, I retreat more into my hyperfixations to self soothe Thank u for patience, friends. I am having a very bad time

110

Rook @rookmoth.bsky.social · 30/10/2025

Spoiler I did not make art but I did swatch more ink which was oddly satisfying. It was neat to lay them out and compare them afterward

100

Rook @rookmoth.bsky.social · 21/10/2025

I swatched ink for myself last night and it used up all my energy but maybe now I can make art later

An assortment of paper slips on a table with samples of different ink colors on them, loosely arranged by color groups.

Art share time: I did a marker experiment and to trick myself into being okay with messing up I did a self portrait 1. Water-based ink pens (pencil erases so easily underneath these??) 2-3. Alcohol-based markers layered on top 4. Water-based markers and colored pencils added

Lavender and gray marker shading added to previous portrait drawing

Further rendered version of the portrait with pinks and oranges for skin and dark blue added in the hair

Finished version of the portrait with colors adjusted for marker coloring and some colored pencil details. Simple red-purple background added

My attempts to be organized about my spare parts and pieces that I should probably just sell or rehome but I’m tired and anxious and small

Two acrylic boxes stacked on top of each other filled with various doll clothes and parts. There’s a black and white cat behind them.

One of the opened acrylic boxes. It has zippered pouches and bags in it as well as small plastic containers of labeled doll parts such as “Nagi hands” and “eye chips”

Another opened acrylic boxes stacked. This one contains various doll pieces in different states of assembly— some are dressed dolls, some are just bodies, some are blank doll faceplates all from various series.

Two more shuffled-piece antu dolls— even their hair pieces are both mismatched. For the one on the right I replaced the Cute Beast forearms with Nine Color Deer arms and Adou-Loong hands. The one on the left has literally googly eyes instead of eye chips. I was curious if they would fit. (Yes)

Figure on the left has pink and white and red hair and paw-like feet. She’s wearing a white shirt and red and black skirt with black fluffy tail and black fluffy ears. Her eyes are black. The figure on the right has green and yellow Chinese fantasy styled hair with green horns, blonde eyelashes, and red eyes. She has brown hoof feet and a multicolor Chinese fantasy-style dress as well as a blue fairy shawl. She’s also holding a long pipe in her right hand.

Transpride dragon doll!! They’re like… four different dolls pieced together. (Like… from the antu/antilles/penny’s box series they have parts from two different Nine Color Deer dolls, one Spirit of the Book doll and one Adou-Loong doll)

Pink, blue, and white pastel themed dragon-person doll. They have pink hair, blue eyes and a humanoid torso making heart hands. Their lower body is a long, blue and pink dragon form with feathery wings and a tail. They’re wearing a frilly pink and white top.

I contain myself but here are… a few… of my dolls I have cobbled together… First one is the one that started the obsession. I swapped her faceplate and eyes and clothes

Small, pale doll with a blonde side braid making a peace sign. She is wearing a pink dress with flows and bows and has pink shoes.

One of my earliest and most favorite pinboards— the first time I tried something weird just cos it seemed fun Knifecat pin @marladraw on insta (she has so many variants now) Chat bubble pin @baggingaround on insta

Mixed media collage. Bottom left appears to be a smartphone chat message with one person typing and a pin that looks like a sent message saying “hold on I see a cat”. Upper right depicts a blood spattered (unharmed) black cat holding a knife in its mouth menacingly.

Low light picture of the same pinboard from the previous picture. Phone screen on the lower left glows in the dark.
