I started out pretty AI neutral, aside from the environmental concerns, but I'm, being pushed into hating it more and more because it keeps making things I care about actively worse, and the results keep speaking for themselves in a really bad shitty way.

I'm doing a little experiment with pre-rendered backgrounds. I wanted the backgrounds to look lousy as hell, btw

Speaking objectively: You gave Exodemon a nice boost in sales by playing it live once and talking on twitter about it, like, immediately after you played it Also, I meet bunch of cool people because of your community I was made aware and brought some games of your lists here on bluesky

For no particular reason, I feel I should mention I updated my RPG Fan Translation Directory a few days ago with a bunch of new/missing titles, and also a very important change in the last paragraph.

Dungeon crawling and mecha FPSing through thirty randomly generated levels: Daedalus (Sega Saturn, 1995), released as Robotica outside of Japan The hand of Genki is in its co-development, which would be of no surprise to those familiar with their mecha corridor shooters of their era.

You guys waste so much time talking about AI and Nvidia, huh? Share my game then if you want to promote something that doesn't use generative AI, and that's a cool game, with the hottest protagonist that ever existed. I'm updating the demo for Steam Next Fest.

So I believe media/people in general will see the value eventually When real workers buy the truck, test it, prove to other workert that it`s worth

010

Roni Silva @ronisilva.bsky.social · 23/07/2026

I may be coming of a place of cinism towards car media in general Here in Brazil we had a GIANT push against BYD/Chinese Brands when they came to Brazil by car purists Now the Dolphin is one of the most sold cars around here And now the media is much more positive around them

100

Roni Silva @ronisilva.bsky.social · 23/07/2026

Ye, I totally get and agree My jeep compass started to show ads in the main screen recently 🤡 But I also don`t think the general public operate in plain logic There is a lot o marketing, biases, culture behind cars that we need to take into account

100

Roni Silva @ronisilva.bsky.social · 23/07/2026

Not sure comparing japenese prices makes much sense, It`s so crazy how much affordable any car is there A corolla is around 16k in japan and starts at 23k in the US hehehe

000

Roni Silva @ronisilva.bsky.social · 23/07/2026

Here in Brazil with have the Geely Riddara RD6 for the same price as the Maverick Hybrid (around 49k UDS both) If the Riddara had a more basic version I`m pretty sure people would pay for the premium for the extra feature Most brands don`t even sell basic versions in brazil anymore

000

Roni Silva @ronisilva.bsky.social · 23/07/2026

Ye, I understand all the points to be honest Money have vastly different values between countries and there the perception/culture around the cars and everything My whole point here is, it`s easy to perceive 25k as too much money for what it delivers

210

Roni Silva @ronisilva.bsky.social · 23/07/2026

I read this thread in specific, I'm aware it's an EV My point continues the same

000

Roni Silva @ronisilva.bsky.social · 23/07/2026

You really think powered windows, 2 speakers and 1 apple carplay multimidia would be a considerable cost for them? (genuine question) I understand there is R&D around it and they do not buy these stuff in a lot of quantity to really bring the price down

100

Roni Silva @ronisilva.bsky.social · 23/07/2026

Instead people will need to include genic half baked solutions to a problem solved 15 years ago

100

Roni Silva @ronisilva.bsky.social · 23/07/2026

I really love the idea behind the truck but sometimes it seems they are cheaping out on stuff the would literally cost a couple of bucks for them to include

120

Roni Silva @ronisilva.bsky.social · 23/07/2026

Talking completelly outside my scope, as I`m not from the US and this truck will never reach Brazil But it seems to me that, powered windows, a generic, not connected to the car software, multimidia display, for navigation would be the bare minimum to a 25k car
