ICYMI...Hilroy, a formerly-Canadian but now American-owned company screwed up the map of Canada that had graced the cover of one of their popular exercise books for decades, omitting several important islands. Rather than reverting to an older, correct version with an adequate level of detail...

Me: Time to buckle down, the deadline for this important project is next week. Also me: I should do the 3 heart challenge for Zelda I on the NES with this new caveat I came up with that will require me to map out the entire game. zeldadungeon.net/forum/thread...

I'm really pleased with how nicely my game Revanche Futebol Cards is simulating plausible World Cup results! Here's a comparison of the teams that have advanced through the stages of both tournaments so far. If only Egypt had won yesterday... 🤯 And Revanche is not a sports-simulation game! ↓

Good to know that it fits in a living room!

Yesterday my soccer card game successfully predicted the winners of both matches, and even got the score right in the match between Mexico and South Africa! So I'd be pretty happy if today's predictions are accurate as well. 🤞 🍁

What a week for Hits & Outs『ヒット＆アウト』! After it appeared on the very popular Japanese late-night program TV Chidori, it became the best-selling board game of the week on Rakuten, a huge e-commerce website in Japan. 👑 It was also #67 amongst all toys -- who knew Tamagotchi was still so huge?!? 😲

I absolutely love ❤️ how photos of Hits & Outs『ヒット&アウト』tell the story of the game! Two people shared photos of games they played with their families today -- both were scoreless until extra innings, then both teams scored and the winner won by one run. 🤩

Is the 2016 thing here? Anyway, that was the year that my first game hit stores, and the first time I was invited to participate at a convention. Still at it a decade later!

Hits & Outs reached a nice milestone today! It reached the top 50% of rated games on BoardGameGeek (14571 of 29885). 🥳 I'm pleased to see that it's also climbed well in several of its key Categories, Mechanisms, and Families: 45% Sports 47% Bluffing 49% Two-Player Only 50% Baseball 51% Deduction

Thanks to everyone who has played my games over the last decade! I always wanted to try my hand at one of these "race graphs", and I figured out how to make one with the monthly game logs on BoardGameGeek! public.flourish.studio/visualisatio...

Very happy to see that Hits & Outs made a channel's Top 10 list! In this case, it's the Top 10 new releases in Japan in 2025. Neat to see the mix of brand new Japanese games and older international titles that were just released there. www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxsA...

It's a humble brag, but Hits & Outs is the ONLY board game that these three amazing publishers have in common! (Also, I spent way too much time on this graphic to not share it.)

If you need an excuse to include Hits & Outs in your Kickstarter pledge, just say that @stuteacher.bsky.social recommended it! I think it may be his top game from the Spring Tokyo Game Market. 🥰

You know the publisher of your board game "gets" you when they gift you an amazing 50-year-old handheld baseball game along with the key chains their illustrator designed for the tournament of your game they held at the Spring Tokyo Game Market. Do you recognize the inspiration for the five teams?

The 'Cats are down by three in the last inning of the『ヒット＆アウト』championship. Their best hitter is standing in the on-deck circle, getting ready to step up to the plate with the bases loaded. What's this?!? He's asking for his special home run bat!!! 🙀 Thanks for the treat, @itten-games.bsky.social!

Whoever told IKF to stay close to third to avoid getting doubled-up on a line drive by Varsho to 3B/SS cost the Jays the World Series. Fun fact: Varsho didn't line out to the left side of the infield all season, but had PLENTY of ground balls to the right side. What'd he do? 🤬 #WorldSeries #BlueJays

It's obviously a very small sample size, but it's encouraging to see that Hits & Outs『ヒット＆アウト』is doing well on Bodoge Hoobby, a.k.a. Japanese BoardGameGeek. It finished second in last month's "fun games for 2 players" poll, only behind Battle Line -- Knizia's highest-rated 2 player game on BGG!
