If I saw 516, there was a possibility of false claims to the city, outer edge of Queens, but were probably from Long Island. 929 was forced and I blocked that out. Only seen spam callers use that. 845, deep upstate. Like hours drive away 🙇🏾‍♀️

I associate NYC with 718 or 212 area codes with both home phones,when landlines were mostly a thing, and always with cellphones. 718 for Bronx and Brooklyn, 212 for only Manhattan. Didn't know much people from Queens. 917 and 646 strictly for cellphones for all of NYC. 914 immediately Westchester...
