Daughter watched Practical Magic with me tonight, since we’re going to the sequel on Sunday. She seemed bored with the first twenty mins or so but by the end she was completely invested. “That’s how you end a movie!” I love my mini me. 😆

Watched The Challenger explode as a young kid, had to grasp the effects of Columbine as a senior in hs and then experienced 9/11 several years later. Now it feels as though trauma is normalized and it happens in the news every day. All we can do is try to take care of ourselves & others.

Brand New Day was probably the best Spider-man so far. So enjoyable. The story was great and the cast chemistry is perfection. Loved it.

Rewatched all three MCU Spider-Man movies with my daughter (her first time watching). Now we’re seated for Brand New Day. Three kids and I’m glad one still likes to do things with me. 😝

The worst part about breakout horror movies are the insufferable articles by tourists proclaiming HORROR IS BACK! like most weekends last year didn't have horror in the top 5, or three different horror movies that cleared $300M+ worldwide, gleaning 1/3 of last year's Oscars. Horror is doing GREAT.

Sitting in a DQ with my daughter and a guy is on his phone (ofc it’s speakerphone) talking about making a movie? Or something of that nature. The guy asks the person on the phone “do you think I’m a good director?” And there’s a long pause. Then I hear “you’re not BAD.” 🤨

Ohio may be a lot of things but we voted for weed and abortion rights. 🤷‍♀️ (and yes Republicans are currently trying to find ways to overturn the will of the people on both issues.)
