No cheating. Post the last photo of the sky from your camera roll.
A forested mountain valley in Taiwan. Extremely green, river curling through the middle, clouds brushing the top of the highest peak.

Happy birthday! I have this book you edited. I've played a few games from it and had some great times. Also, the intro is excellent primer on a whole bunch of ttrpg concepts.

#fabulaultima #ttrpg #minigame
Down-Mountain is a competitive gambling mini-game between two or more players, using Fabula Ultima’s standard polyhedral dice (d6, d8, d10, d12). The object of the game is to achieve the lowest total score without going bust.
Gameplay
At the start of a round, each player pays an agreed-upon ante into the pot (usually 5 zenit), then rolls 2d12. Leave your dice on the table in front of you.
Play moves in turns clockwise around the table, beginning with the previous round’s winner (or the oldest player if it’s the first round). On your turn, you must either roll or stake:
Roll. Discard one of your dice, then replace it with a roll of the next smallest die size. (Eg. discard a d12, roll a d10 to replace it.) Any d6, as well as any die showing 1, cannot be discarded.
Stake. Take no more turns this round. If you have two d6s in front of you, you must stake.
If you ever have double 1s (a fumble), you go bust and are out of the round.
Turns continue until all players have either staked or gone bust. At the end of the round, each player adds the values on their dice together, and the player with the lowest total score wins the pot.
If two or more players are tied for the lowest score, they split the pot as evenly as possible, leaving any remainder in the pot for the next round. If all players are tied (or if all players somehow go bust), the entire ante remains in the pot for the next round.

Video game style 'achievements' idea for #fabulaultima #ttrpg rollforthings.itch.io/achievement-...
A video-game-style achievement for the Fabula Ultima ttrpg. It reads, "Glass Cannon: in one instance of damage, deal more damage than your maximum Hit Points." This achievement has three "pips", indicating that it is relatively difficult to accomplish.

Disclaimer: I do like solo journaling games, I just had to poke a little fun at a pattern I've seen in them. Enjoy! #ttrpg #solorpg #solojournalinggame

A visual gag for a very specific cross-section of people #ttrpg #canada
A plain yellow beverage can on an aggressively magenta background. The can is labeled "diet cola" in thick black lettering, the kind you'd see on a heavy metal album.

New sticker for the water bottle by @magicalflyingart.bsky.social #ttrpg
A metal water bottle with a few stickers on it. In focus is one sticker, an illustration of some many-sided dice. Text over these dice reads: "I could be playing a ttrpg right now." In the background of the photo, a curious orange cat investigates the water bottle.

When introducing people to the wider #ttrpg hobby outside of #dnd, it's important to remember that people don't know what they don't yet know, and they shouldn't be shamed for not knowing it yet. Instead of shaming them, get excited about the new stuff they're about to contact. The xkcd about it:
Quoting this webcomic:
I try not to make fun of people for admitting they don't know things. Because for each thing "everyone knows" by the time they're adults, every day there are, on average, ten thousand people in the US hearing about it for the first time.
If I make fun of people, I train them not to tell me when they have those moments. And I miss out on the fun.
A: "Diet coke and mentos thing? What's that?"
B: "Oh man! Come on, we're going to the grocery store."
A: "Why?"
B: "You're one of today's lucky ten thousand."

Foraging for public domain / free license art for a new ttrpg project. Sometimes it's a chore, but sometimes (like this time) it's a real treat. Because you get images like this one by John Dickson Batten from ~130 years ago. #ttrpg #gamedesign #publicdomain #illustration

Yass, queen.
