There is a large colony of wild parrots in my neighborhood in Los Angeles. I hear them quite often but it’s rare to actually see them flying around. It’s possible they don’t get along well with my local murder of crows that own my front year, à la Mods and Rockers

A real heartbreaking story. One of my Burgundy Squadron friends attended today’s auction. Much of the best stuff has already been claimed (the AT-AT artist proof went for $18k). He managed to get a propaganda poster from Starship Troopers and some tools and equipment with the studio logo on them.

Why is street parking at a meter still such a harrowing experience? Why do we have to be so worried about going over the maximum time limit you can set? Can we not develop a meter that senses how long you are parked and just charges you for that exact amount of time, no matter how long?
