Roger Hildreth @rogerhildreth.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Yes, I understand that. But wouldn't feel right to me. No criticism intended 110
Roger Hildreth @rogerhildreth.bsky.social · 01/10/2026If you feel Irish, fair enough. If you don't, why on earth would you do it? 220
Roger Hildreth @rogerhildreth.bsky.social · 01/10/2026The Christmas Pike botched execution was totally barbaric. That is all... 130

Roger Hildreth @rogerhildreth.bsky.social · 20/09/2026Quite right that Earl Spencer is dominating the news. There is nothing else of importance going on in the world is there? 010
Roger Hildreth @rogerhildreth.bsky.social · 04/09/2026I think this is while the CWGC sort out a possible hacking of their website 110
Roger Hildreth @rogerhildreth.bsky.social · 04/09/2026Yes, every time. I think they were hacked a short while ago. I don't find it a problem. 010
Roger Hildreth @rogerhildreth.bsky.social · 02/09/2026We have had on line booking for quite a while now and I have to say it works much better than trying to get through on the phone at 8am. 110
Roger Hildreth @rogerhildreth.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Sorry, missed this. Belated happy birthday! 110
Roger Hildreth @rogerhildreth.bsky.social · 26/08/2026The TV coverage of Dolly Parton's death is totally OTT. Ridiculous 110

Roger Hildreth @rogerhildreth.bsky.social · 18/08/2026Oh yes. I wrote a book (not published) about my paternal GF. Went overseas in Spring 1915 as a Bombardier and finished the war as a Major, MC and Bar. Paternal GF Got a blighty in 1915 from a rifle grenade and was unable to return 010
Roger Hildreth @rogerhildreth.bsky.social · 18/08/2026Trying to find out what my grandfathers did in the FWW! That was in January 2009......... 100
Roger Hildreth @rogerhildreth.bsky.social · 14/08/2026@sommephantom.bsky.social This is all I know about My GF in terms of his promotion and the 1916 "gap". 000
Roger Hildreth @rogerhildreth.bsky.social · 14/08/2026Ah, just seen what you mean! Nothing about 1916 by any chance??? 000
Roger Hildreth @rogerhildreth.bsky.social · 14/08/2026Was a Bombardier in TF with II West Riding Brigade RFA before outbreak of war and was commissioned whilst with them when in the Ypres sector. Arthur Franklin Hollingworth - often misspelt HollingSworth. What artillery papers are you referring to? 100
Roger Hildreth @rogerhildreth.bsky.social · 14/08/2026I lose track of him after he was promoted in the field to 2nd Lt in late 1915. I guess officer training. Spent a lot of time around Arras 210
Roger Hildreth @rogerhildreth.bsky.social · 14/08/2026Very little in Officers file (including wrong paperwork) but a service record on Ancestry! I have written up his war service, but I lose trace of him in 1916 up to November 1916 which is really frustrating. Interestingly he signed off the 311th bde RFA war diary in Nov 18. 100
Roger Hildreth @rogerhildreth.bsky.social · 14/08/2026My GF (Major Arthur Hollingworth MC and Bar; RFA) called one of his dogs "Foch" according to my late mum. He must have been a fan! He also named his house in Leeds "Gavrelle" 110
Roger Hildreth @rogerhildreth.bsky.social · 14/08/2026You could put forward this argument for every constituency election 010
