Almost if not all PS5’s are jail breakable currently and PS5 emulation is so good that it’s not only running Wolverine at playable frame rates and dudes got the actual PS5 OS running on PC. All spearheaded by Sony’s idiotic decision to end the production of Physical Discs.

Looking at Pat's BlueSky and in a strange turn of events, it looks like the Remedy community is a lot more loving and chill on Twitter of all places than the community is on BlueSky. Almost every post I've made on Resonant on there has blown up to a degree and it's all been chill vibes!

Remedy's pipelines is incredible and they're really putting the rest of the industry to shame. Alan Wake 2 came out only 3 years ago and the last DLC expansion came out only 2 years ago. It's very likely we see Alan Wake 3 in 2028 or 2029.

I never posted my final thoughts but yeah Control Resonant was excellent. The early game can feel slow if you don’t get the important traversal abilities(which I didn’t) but once you’re in it, especially the second half the game hits an insane stride and is such a wild ride.

Also it was absolutely the right choice to make Dylan the protagonist of Control Resonant. His character arc is so awesome and well written. He has so much remorse about what happened in Control and he spends the entire game not only trying to convince others he can do good, but himself.

The advice is the same between both, & its silly: ignore the game's apparent content distribution curve & just hammer MSQ & the big important side quests until you run into stat walls, then go back with all the shit you found & do the stuff you skipped.

This is the same problem as the first one had but writ even larger. The way it gates content is...well, it DOESN'T, really, but also it doles out important character verbs & tools through narrative choke points & side content. That means that you can spend HOURS fucking around missing i.e. Levitate.

Okay now that I’m near the end I can say that it’s a shame that this game count in the middle of the most packed September ever because if this game came out in an emptier month I think Pat would have really jelled with it and see how insane this game gets by the end. Unfortunate timing

Had to pause Control Resonant to go to work and I’m sad cause I’m the middle of one of the most insane sequences I’ve ever been put into in a game, even a Remedy game. This legit pushed the game up from an 8.5 to a 9/10 and it’s not even over yet. This games third act is insane

One complaint I have about control resonant is that I wish it rail roaded you towards traversal abilities more. It took me close to 20 hours to get the “reach” ability and I’m finding out I could have gotten it WAY earlier and could have made the open world way less annoying.

coming back to say that the game has continued to get better, the story is great and Dylan's writing is superb. His chemistry with Zoe is insane is some of the biggest hetgem we've ever gotten. This sounds silly to say but I've had to posts about them blow up on twitter their ship is just THAT good

It’s funny when Resident Evil Requiem came out everyone was talking about how it’s the Metal Gear Solid 4 for Resident Evil; but nobody talks about how Alan Wake 2 is Remedy’s MGS4. That game pulls from EVERYTHING and it sticks the landing.

If you're curious about my thoughts on Control Resonant I made a pretty long thread. the TLDR is that I think the game is very good, the combat is more simple than I would've wanted esp. since you do so much of it but the game does a good job giving you abilities and encounters to keep you engaged!

Seeing Pat's thoughts on Control Resonant and I'm sad he isn't enjoying it as much as I am although being 10 hours in I 100000% understand most of his complaints. They haven't affected me in the same way but the combat being so simple definitely shocked me.

Okay break time yeah the game is excellent. It is kind of insane how different of a game it is to Control. Like outside even Control being a shooter the city is SO dense and it’s so easy to get lost in it.
