I see so much ‘I feel sorry for the City fans!’ narrative. Why? They knew their owners were doing corrupt business. They saw talent far beyond their means arrive and win them trophies they didn’t deserve to. They were complicit. Some have even said they’d do it all again!

This guy is an absolute scumbag and yet US sport media approach his potential return to the Chiefs purely from a sporting perspective as if the art and the artist are completely independent of each other.

And the result is overly-wordy slop using marketing keywords where simple, concise human-written sentences would be more useful. It’s not just a waste of energy and water. It’s a waste of fucking time. It’s not real, its absolved of context and logic, its robotic and it’s infuriating.

The AI epidemic is reaching a point now where I’m about to completely lose my fucking mind. People aren’t writing emails anymore. They’re writing fucking AI prompts. And then sending the AI-written email. So now I’m in an email exchange between two people using AI to summarise and send replies. 🫠

Today is suicide prevention day. If you know someone who is suicidal, or if you are experiencing suicidal ideation, firstly reach out to Samaritans on 116 123. Secondly, please seek professional help. Talking is a great first step, but a professional therapist with training will help you even more.

Our 2nd goal - watch Kamada. He initially wins the ball before playing a great cross field ball out to Tyrick. But his run that follows is unreal. A 50/60 yard sprint to support the attack & drag defenders away with his movement. It’s class. It was a fortuitous equaliser, but Daichi earned it. #cpfc

And Facebook’s response is to just decline the report and the subsequent review. If you filmed two animals fighting to the death in a confined space, it would be deleted and you’d get charged with some kind of animal cruelty offence. But insects are fair game? Seems odd.

I keep being shown Insect Wars content on Facebook. The premise is that they basically put two insects in a confined space and watch them fight it out until one of them dies. Reported it for animal cruelty. A lot of the time it’s insects that would never encounter each other in the wild.

You’re going to concede ground and chances playing the way Sage wants to play, but not with the volume Palace did yesterday. On a positive note, Palace’s tactics offensively worked really well. We dropped the ball in behind their back line and they struggled with it. And created more big chances.

The midfield was being passed through. The wing backs didn’t track back or do enough to force their wingers outside. The 10s didn’t cover them. All of these things combined. But you see the defenders being overloaded and you might think it’s an individuals fault. The defence was just the last line.

RoDuSu @rodusu.bsky.social · 06/09/2026
I think a lot of the criticism of our defence as being the ‘open’ part of the team is misplaced. The issue isn’t the defensive line. It wasn’t actually Richards, Canvot or Disasi. It was the 7 players ahead of them too. They were all culpable. And they all improved in the second half.

Nothing will prepare you for the sudden loss of a sibling, and the way it shapes your world view. It tinges everything with a fear that you might suffer that loss again. I regularly have to challenge those thoughts. You can’t let that fear win.

Palace sell player. Some Palace fans: ‘It’s like that really bad thing that happened an obscure time ago that has absolutely no relevance to the selling of a player today.

Still a bit confused by what you mean. The plan, as far as I understand, was to sell Munoz. It has been since we initially targeted Khalaili. So this is part of the plan.

RoDuSu @rodusu.bsky.social · 30/08/2026
If Palace sell Daniel Munoz for £22m it will be the sixth highest fee paid for a right wingback. Defenders in his position don’t sell as highly as a striker or midfielder would.

RoDuSu @rodusu.bsky.social · 30/08/2026
We can’t complain about not selling players at the right time and then complain when we do. Munoz last season showed signs of deterioration. He’s been an incredible player and I’ve loved his attitude and his winning mentality. He’s given us unforgettable memories. But it’s time.

Selling Munoz is logical, even to Forest. He’s at peak selling age and the offer is a good one. In sentimental terms it makes me feel sad but I think it’s the right thing for the club to do.

This is the first month in 3 and a bit years where we haven’t had to pay nursery fees for our son. The way this country treats nursery care is an outrage. Most other western nations provide significantly more funding for it. We spent about £950 every month on it. Completely nuts.

There are many white men and women who are in jobs they are under qualified for because they lied on CVs or because they had parents pull strings for them. We don’t see the level of coverage for any of these people. Because when they do it they’re smart and have drive.

The handwringing by members of the journalistic fraternity in response to Arday’s death disgusts me. They only look at it through the prism of their own reporting, not that of the collective. Hundreds of articles, hours of TV and radio coverage. For what? Plagiarism? Or was it really racism?

And it does ease. The moments you notice it doing so are when you feel a moment of joy, or have a life-affirming experience — because it is in those moments that you feel grief again — and you realise you haven’t felt it with such breathless, violent strength in a while.

The hardest thing to come to terms with is that part of you wishes you could just talk to them, bring them back, show them that things do get better. But that moment is gone; and you can’t ever get another chance. And so you just struggle. You wake up every day feeling that sadness until it eases.

I find most mentions of suicide to be triggering. It regularly takes me back to the moment I found out my sister died. The experience was extremely traumatic. When I hear someone has taken their life, I wish I could just shield them from the pain, the questions, the guilt and the longing.

Well, I hope those folk in the media who hounded Jason Arday are happy with themselves. My thoughts in this moment are with his poor family who will be experiencing the most raw, breathless grief. Their struggle will be for a lifetime.

He was brilliant at the time. Chelsea were a menace. But he never admits wrongdoing in anything — so even his Chelsea downfall was entirely blamed on other people. I also just don’t think he’s creative enough with his tactics. It just about works, still. But he gets shown up more than he used to.

I fully expect the media to extrapolate Count Bimface’s vote count to indicate that actually he was the winner long term, despite losing. That’s what they usually do whenever Reform or the Tories lose.

I’m watching the Mourinho documentary on Netflix and I’ve made a shocking realisation. He didn’t call himself _The_ Special One. He said he was _A_ Special One. Had he said ‘the’ special one it would have implied there’s no other. But he didn’t say that. We’ve been lied to all this time! 😂

You’re right, no idea where I got that from. £17m. Still, a big chunk. Dougie had more hits than misses, and its perhaps too soon to write off França. But I also don’t think we should judge the current setup on 1 and a half windows.

Dougie spent £30m on França, £25m on Nketiah and £15m on Esse. I think his recruitment in the latter stages was as much of the problem as the Hobbs-lead splurge in January.

Weird seeing respectable people eulogise Rod Liddle. It makes you realise how and why the BBC protected abhorrent people. Because in the view of these people, the artist and their art were separable. Rod Liddle’s art was sometimes racist and misogynist. But what a guy he was, they claim? Nonsense.

The brita filter was a compromise for my wife because she used to drink bottled water. Now we waste less. My inlaws have awful tap water. It tastes absolutely dreadful. They spent fortunes on bottled water. They now waste much less because of the Brita we bought them.
