How can we manage if the function runs at build time or on first request? I thought with cacheComponents it always ran on build time, and that's why dynamic things needed to be wrapped in Suspense, so the build uses the fallback, as part of partial pre rendering

So I need to use "use cache" with cacheTag. But wouldn't that force you to have to fetch the data at build time? What if I don't want or I can't? What if it is data that needs to be dynamic, so it always shows the latest when loading the component?

That's the thing, even in the DAL example from the docs, it does "await getProfile" at the page.tsx, so even with this architecture if you require page guard like behind a login, you still need to await the whole page until that check. But I suppose this is acceptable given the case?

Just came up with another question. If I move the fetch data to the component that makes use of it, if I mutate the data with an action, what is the best way to revalidate it? revalidatePath or refresh seems too much, I don't want to refetch the whole page data, just the one affected.

This is great! One question, what about apps that require login and therefore need to check authentication and authorization? Next docs recommend to do those checks at the Page level, so it conflicts with this architecture. What would be the best practice?

Yes, I have an app that right now I don't need to cache or have static data, so I am not going to use "use cache" but I still want the improvements of dynamic by default and PPR. I have just updated it and seems to be working fine in dev, need to test it deployed.
