Rob Worth @robworth.bsky.social · 30/09/2026I often deliberately ignore stories like this for a few days until enough actual facts have come out. Will be doing the same for the pilots fighting on a plane story. 010

Rob Worth @robworth.bsky.social · 11/09/2026We’re going to rename the “nonfiction” genre – as in books. It shouldn’t be named as “it’s *not* made up”. It’s much more important and interesting than that (no shade at all on fiction!) But what should it be callled? 120
Rob Worth @robworth.bsky.social · 10/09/2026The other risk reporting crime is changing the base. Eg: “The risk increases from 1 in 20 to 1 in 7.” No. My brain can’t do the maths nor is it intuitive. Instead: “The risk increases from 50 in 1,000 to 143 in 1,000.” Same, but now it is easily digestible. 070
Rob Worth @robworth.bsky.social · 10/09/2026Could go harder and say that only baseline risk should be stated and compared. No multiples allowed. Eg: “People who do X in increase the chance of developing Y from 1 in 100 to 3 in 100.” 1100
