Important note: the Gotham Group is not an animation studio. We still don't know which studio is attached (or if that has been determined yet.)

I started playing #FF7Remake the other day - for the first time. I'd seen bits and pieces of it before, but I needed to check it out properly. 2 hours was enough for Tifa to rewrite my brain chemistry and give me entirely unrealistic expectations of a romantic partner.

An edit showing Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Himmel from Frieren: Beyond Journey's End. Between them, text reads "I will wait for the you I know you can be no matter how long it takes."

Before #RWBY Volume 10 airs, I'll record a "Part Zero" reaction where I say where I've been & what shows/games I've enjoyed since Volume 9. It's a long hiatus, so why not catch up and talk about how differently I will/won't approach the next chapter of the story?

Hello, apologies for any confusion. The article has since been updated and corrected. @crwrites.bsky.social Hi Casandra, sorry to bother you but I saw you were the author for the recent article about RWBY Volume 10’s Greenlight announcement - a few of us YouTubers who cover RWBY are wondering what the source for the studio information is, if you could share it!

The distance between my #RWBY news uploads was so long that I lost not only monetization, but also "advanced features" that were simply whether YouTube thought I was a human or not lmao. (fixed) It's great to be back.

Also as a reminder, temper your expectations. I'm pretty much 100% confident that there will be "RWBY news", but that is a low bar to qualify for in 2026. I don't expect a trailer, nor do I expect a release date or even a release window. It might be rather noncommittal.

190

Robin @robinrising.bsky.social · 03/07/2026

Originally I thought it would be today because I misremembered that it "always" happens on Friday. Last year it was also on a Saturday. But it has always coincided with a VIZ Media panel at Anime Expo. PICTURED: 2024 panel, 2025 panel

191

Robin @robinrising.bsky.social · 03/07/2026

When to expect the #RWBY announcement! It will most likely coincide with the VIZ panel taking place tomorrow (Saturday, July 4th) at 8:15pm ET, 5:15pm PT. RWBY news historically happens during a VIZ announcement panel like this. There is no similar panel happening today.

A screenshot of the VIZ Media Anime Panel to be held tomorrow at 8:15pm ET, 5:15pm PT. Any RWBY announcement would likely take place during this panel.

Yes the convention started today, but historically RWBY's announcement happens on the Friday.

Today's was pretty darn obtuse. But tbh, process of elimination was enough to get it at least.

Robin @robinrising.bsky.social · 22/06/2026

Combating this, I've upped my exercise, started a keto diet and am even considering intermittent fasting. But whatever this is, it lies outside of diet and exercise at this point. They say your body "unlocks a new DLC" every year around your 30s... I super do not appreciate it.

Robin @robinrising.bsky.social · 22/06/2026

My words make it sound way scarier than it is for now. So far, I'm doing well. My heart and lungs are fine. Blood tests show normal. Chronic fatigue is tough to nail down. But I get exhausted the moment I push myself. As far as exercising, I've had to drop weights down & run slow.

A screenshot of statistics from two 5-kilometer runs. The first was in March, the second in June. The March run had a pace of 6:30 per kilometer. The June run was 8:30 per kilometer - the fastest I could run for distance after my condition began.

Robin @robinrising.bsky.social · 22/06/2026

Life update: I've been dealing with (minor) chronic fatigue since March - for 3+ months. I have had monthly doctor appts, blood tests, etc., but results are inconclusive.

Alrighty, it's been A YEAR since I've made a video. I'm rusty - this one isn't nearly as polished or thorough as I want. But that's why I had to make it. This video can be bad. The next one is important. It's about repetition. Pactice for the Anime Expo news follow-up.

Great discussion about ballooning game dev teams, costs, high end mismanagement leading to the average game taking 6+ years to release. I've heard so much of these over the years. It's nice to have in a 26min video. youtu.be/lwJqPvDA4Yw

I completed my 15K race yesterday! It was the hardest thing I've ever done. But now a half marathon (21K) doesn't sound so bad. A day later, and even my back and shoulders still hurt. Not just the legs.

A race medal for a 15 kilometer race. There are pictures of similar medals for 5 and 10 kilometers in the above post.
