There’s gotta be some field of study that has researched how people, over time, started willfully ignoring all paragraphs written below a headline in favor of using their imagination to draw conclusions about what the author meant. A classic FB example of the uninformed loudmouth spreading FUD

A misleading Facebook post that would make readers who didn’t open the attached article think that Dakota county increased their property taxes by nearly 1/5 the value of your home.

Super smart people who don’t understand economics who have been obviously duped into believing that despite their wallets and bank accounts indicating otherwise, that somehow Trump has made things better for them. Followed up by a senior on a fixed income who also didn’t read the article expressing concerns about what she believes is a nearly 20% increase to her property taxes.

Me explaining that if you’d read the article…all four pages of it, you’d see that the 18% increase is the county’s share of the property taxes bill. I further explained based on median Dakota county home value that’d be an extra $11 or so a month.

“This $133 (annual) change for a homeowner…” clearly stated o. The first page, 2nd full paragraph.

Aside from the incorrect year and quarter it’s cool to be a hackathon finalist. I had the idea and wrote the app. My teammate did DevOps and KrakenD Go plugin integration. Automatic endpoint registration using compiler and assembly scanning for endpoints your app uses but hasn’t subscribed to yet.

I've heard sharp knives are safer in the kitchen. Apparently that doesn't apply to Japanese kitchen knives. I sliced straight through an avocado, pit and all, and caught it with my index finger.
