This has been an extraordinary week for me. Today I got a brief but private tour of the @sciencehistory.org library and museum. Including this book by #Quaker #scientist John Dalton, who came up with a modern theory of the atom in 1808. #amazing

The train is a little over an hour each way, plus getting to and from the station. The event was 1-4 pm. I wandered through Manhattan before and after the event. Madison Square was a beautiful place to sit and people watch. It wasn't like that when I lived in NYC 30+ years ago.

At the Miller Theater with @chrismphl.bsky.social for the Opera Philadelphia presentation of The Black Clown, based on the Langston Hughes poem. Pictures online made me think this would be a more modern theater but it is plenty ornate.
