It’s not just about gay marriage. It’s about their interactions as well. When people reach out to them, they misinterpret it as a feigned withdrawal, a weakness, or an attack. When one sets a boundary to keep a relationship healthy, they fear it’s a betrayal. Emotional strength is seen as weakness.
