Robert Kahne @robertkahne.com · 20/05/2026Yeah, I wonder if they will pick up the fundraising pace for the general 110
Robert Kahne @robertkahne.com · 20/05/2026That's exactly right. I think most of the vote was more anti-Greenberg than pro-Shameka and the people who don't like the mayor are generally progressive white people. 230
Robert Kahne @robertkahne.com · 20/05/2026Most of the people who were handicapping this race seemed to think she would win more than 1 precinct in her Metro Council district. 110
Robert Kahne @robertkahne.com · 20/05/2026I'm no GOP strategist, but to me it looks like Thomas Massie fought hard and nearly tied in NKY, but got blown out in the further reaches of the district, like Ashland and Spencer County. 010
Robert Kahne @robertkahne.com · 20/05/2026Zach Dembo won a lot of places. Cherlynn Stevenson did the best in her old 88th District, including winning Scott County. 220
Robert Kahne @robertkahne.com · 20/05/2026While the result was interesting, the overall shape of the map fits in nicely with my mental model of the Dem primary. Booker did very well in urban areas in Louisville, Lexington, and NKY, and won enough of the rest of Central KY to win out. Amy McGrath won a ton of area, but not enough votes. 120
Robert Kahne @robertkahne.com · 20/05/2026Daniel Cameron did the best in his hometown of E-town and along I-71 between Louisville and NKY. Other than that, a total wipe out. 110
Robert Kahne @robertkahne.com · 20/05/2026Mark it down to "surprising to some, but not me": Craig Greenberg totally swept West Louisville, and Shameka Parrish-Wright's strength were around Germantown and Clifton. IYKYK 520
Robert Kahne @robertkahne.com · 20/05/2026Was she ever endorsed by the DSA when she was elected? I know she got their election when she ran for Congress and State Senate, but I don't know if they ever supported her (or existed) when she won her State House races. 000
Robert Kahne @robertkahne.com · 20/05/2026He got a very important early supporter in Christy Brown and never looked back. 100
Robert Kahne @robertkahne.com · 20/05/2026I could not be more impressed by Zach Dembo. I was a strong supporter of Cherlynn Stevenson (she would have been a great congressperson), and I dismissed Dembo out of hand when I heard about his campaign. He really impressed throughout. I think he has a very legitimate chance to make it to DC. 130
Robert Kahne @robertkahne.com · 20/05/2026You would know better than me! I saw you on TV tonight, you looked great. 110
Robert Kahne @robertkahne.com · 20/05/2026 My favorite inside baseball fact about the KY Elections is that the legislature moved to make the Metro Council/Metro Mayor non-partisan, but didn't mess with any other elections in Jefferson Co, leaving Shively, the tiny city in SW Louisville, as the only place with partisan city elections in KY 1162
Robert Kahne @robertkahne.com · 11/05/2026No, she was here but had a few chances to take jobs up there. She got a job closer to the fashion industry and when she left she shocked everybody she worked with 110
Robert Kahne @robertkahne.com · 11/05/2026Kelsey was there almost all of 2012, yall just missed each other 110
Robert Kahne @robertkahne.com · 11/05/2026When did you work there?? Kelsey had a year long stint at Kellogg in the late 2000s 100
Robert Kahne @robertkahne.com · 10/05/2026In baseball news, more teams in the NL Central have winning records than the entire AL 030
Robert Kahne @robertkahne.com · 22/04/2026The algorithm uses everyone else's votes to evaluate each person's position. It's a relative metric-- it doesn't use any fixed variables. If you want the real dirty details here's the paper: ideas.repec.org/a/jss/jstsof...ideas.repec.orgScaling Roll Call Votes with wnominate in RThis paper presents a software package designed to estimate Poole and Rosenthal W-NOMINATE scores in R. The package uses a logistic regression model to analyze political choice data, usually (though 110

Robert Kahne @robertkahne.com · 01/02/2026Dawn i have never been at a paid event of any sort where the ratio of men to women was that high. Funny to me since Kelsey is the bigger Klosterman head in our household lol 130
Robert Kahne @robertkahne.com · 16/12/2025The number of people in the online left who want to re-ban sports betting but legalize more drugs is bonkers to me. 120

Personally I also much prefer Tidal's algos but that's a YMMV thing. Anyway, it used to be way more expensive but it isn't anymore, and I think it's a better product. 281
Robert Kahne @robertkahne.com · 02/12/2025Also they only played 11 games and there were way fewer bowls 100
Robert Kahne @robertkahne.com · 02/12/2025The entirety of the "good years" which pull up Kentucky's average significantly, were from probably the greatest college football coach of all time who was run off by the basketball coach. Without Bear Bryant, the average is way way worse. 130
Robert Kahne @robertkahne.com · 02/12/2025I am excited about Will Stein and agree with other Kentucky fans than a change was for the best, but Mark Stoops was the best coach we ever had, and it's not close. That part of this really sucks. 2130
