Robert Dick @robertdick.bsky.social · 03/10/2026I'd have pulled it before V which isn't very good. And III and IV were already a step down from AI and II. VI is unbroadcastable. VII is an improvement. VIII is even more unbroadcastable than the unbroadcastable VI and then the DAVE stuff is a big improvement. 010
Robert Dick @robertdick.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Looks to see if someone actually fell for it and answ-Yes of course someone actually fell for it this is online. 010
Robert Dick @robertdick.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I looked at it as a nice trip out with friends as opposed to caring what we were actually seeing. But it helps I like that one and havent seen it for a while. There's seven of us in the front row but in two groups as one person had already booked the middle seat of the front row on their own. £15. 110
Robert Dick @robertdick.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I've just noticed that there is an episode of The Smoking Room missing from the BBC iPlayer. They've put both seasons up but not the Xmas Special. How do we rectify this? 100
Robert Dick @robertdick.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I assume it's Roland writing, not the Decadent. But he should watch it too 010
Robert Dick @robertdick.bsky.social · 02/10/2026It's astonishing isn't it? EXACTLY the same. And, Roland, that means you must go to the iPlayer and watch The Smoking Room. Not only will you hear Selina speak, you'll discover one of my favourite sitcoms. 420
Robert Dick @robertdick.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I've never used them before. But I preordered the Key to Time book from them as there was a decent deal... Will see how quickly that comes... 100
Robert Dick @robertdick.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I haven't seen the Blu-ray cheaper than the cinema I'm seeing it at. But that cinema closes a week after the screening... And the Blu-ray is only 99p more and can be rewatched... 100

Robert Dick @robertdick.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Actually, I watched it a year or so back. I wonder if I was going to interview someone. Can't think who. Have never done Michael Briant. Maybe I wasn't well. 000
Robert Dick @robertdick.bsky.social · 30/09/2026There's a particularly strong Series D disc too, isn't there? But it's hard to argue with Sarcophagus and, particularly, Rumours of Death. 010
Robert Dick @robertdick.bsky.social · 30/09/2026The best Doctor-Who-when-unwell is Pertwee. But I may have been influenced by being there for Davy's Colony in Space search. 100

Robert Dick @robertdick.bsky.social · 29/09/2026It was also really odd that they focused on the overarching plot at the expense of the puzzles/murders and then left the overarching plot open-ended and unresolved. 030
Robert Dick @robertdick.bsky.social · 29/09/2026It is an engaging show though and the cast are fun. But it needs more work. But Marble Hall Murders (and previous seasons) and Bookish are so much better. We've just started MHM and Bookish S2 so no spoilers please. 111
Robert Dick @robertdick.bsky.social · 29/09/2026As I say 'interesting set-up but nothing done with it'. 110
Robert Dick @robertdick.bsky.social · 29/09/2026If memory serves it was as uninteresting as 'And only one of them had a route which didn't take them past a camera'. 210
Robert Dick @robertdick.bsky.social · 29/09/2026I just don't think anything has been thought through enough to that level. It's all too surface level. Again, there was an interesting set-up in the one with the street cams but nothing actually came out of that premise. 222
Robert Dick @robertdick.bsky.social · 29/09/2026I expected the twist to be 'Of course you can't predict who would choose that piece so they clearly just needed SOMEONE to die but it didn't matter who and we've been approaching it from the wrong angle'. ALL the Ludwig mysteries fizzle out. I like the show but the plots/puzzles ALL need more work. 040
Robert Dick @robertdick.bsky.social · 28/09/2026Following though this train of thought... the cast of Taskmaster S19 is every bit as marvellous as that of Doctor Who S19. 010
Robert Dick @robertdick.bsky.social · 28/09/2026Taskmaster S22 is not the best season this far. But it's not the worst one. So it's doing better than Doctor Who did. 100

They are called City Gate. They are planning to take over the cinema. These people are evil (I am a real Christian btw) take a look online and shut these fucking fuckers down. 121
