A lot of great roles being mentioned today, but I also think he's underrated as the perfect evil scientist Dr. Anton Sevarius in Gargoyles. A memorable villain on a show filled with memorable villains.
Dr. Anton Sevarius from Gargoyles. A white man with brown hair in a white sort-of lab coat with what appears to be a button by the left shoulder. Looking straight ahead with an evil scientist smile on his face.

Still from the animated series Kite Man, Hell Yeah! [Spoiler Warning]. Conjoined twin gangsters Moe and Joe Dubelz sit behind a bar, facing the viewer. They are in a shared grey or light black suit, and both wear yellow ties. Moe, stage right, stares straight ahead with a normal human face. His elbow is on the table and his hand upraised, and there is a mug of beer in front of him. Joe, stage left, is a slumped and decaying skull, having been shot to death in a previous episode. The upper right half of his skull is missing, exposing the brain, with a fly circling overhead.

The average American has one friend.
Image of Vincent Adultman from Bojack Horseman. He is standing with his back to a bar and bar stools, wearing a hat and long trench coat, with only his face visible. One hand appears to be a broom and another, hidden behind a stool, a mannequin hand. He is definitely an adult man, and definitely not three children stacked on top of each other.

Koh is a malevolent spirit, seen in profile with a white painted face, red lips, and a grey circle around his visible eye, most of his giant centipede-like body out of frame. "Hey. We saw you from across the room and thought you might want to join Bluesky.”
Movie still from Double Indemnity, in Black & White. Barbara Stanwyck as Phyllis Dietrichson and Fred MacMurray as Walter Neff. They are in a grocery store, at a slight angle from the camera and partially hidden by rows of boxed items on the shelf in front of them. Behind them are shelves against a wall, with lots of cans that look ready to topple over noisily at any moment.

Only Phyllis's head is visible, staring straight ahead and looking stoic, her eyes hidden behind sunglasses. She wears an infamously bad blonde wig that director Billy Wilder regretted halfway through filming but was stuck with, and which he would later no-prize by explaining that it's meant to represent the character's phoniness.

Walter is dressed in suit and tie, with what I want to say is a fedora, but being shamefully and inexcusably deficient on the intricacies of similar-looking 40's headgear, and in fear of being rightfully called out, I will simply label a dark hat. His head is turned slightly toward her so they can talk surreptitiously as they pretend to be strangers. The look on his face suggests that he has just realized he is at the center of a classic film noir, which are of course famous for their uncomplicated love stories and happily ever afters.

The pair clearly think they are being clever, but their charade would fool absolutely no one, if anyone really cared about these two randos trying to be smooth while everyone else just wants to finish their shopping for the day so they can get home and make dinner.

They will maintain this charade for approximately five seconds before descending into an animated and highly incriminating argument in the middle of this modestly crowded grocery store, in what might generously be termed stage whispers.

And, oh yes, they would love to welcome you to Bluesky.

SPOILER FOR THE TWILIGHT ZONE EPISODE "PEOPLE ARE ALIKE ALL OVER"

Still from the above-named episode, in Black-and-White, of a man behind bars, while a crowd of human-looking Martians stare at him from the other side of the bars, with looks of interest or disgust.

The man is played by Roddy McDowall, but the perspective is from behind him, so we only see the back of his head and the top of his dark-colored shirt, stage left toward the edge of the image. The crowd is mostly adults, with a few children. Behind them, stage right, are craggy mountains.

He has discovered, too late, that "... people are alike, everywhere."

This is also the header image for my account, repurposed here because a) it seemed appropriate and b) I am very lazy.

Tired: Scorpion and the frog. Wired: Wasp and the frog.
Screenshot of a tweet of mine from Dec 19, 2022. Bottom half is a link to an apple news article. Headline reads: Male wasps use their genital spines to sting frogs (and people). Subheader: Until recently, female wasps got all the blame for those painful pricks.

Above the link is the following text:

"Why did you sting me?" said the frog. "Now we'll both drown."

"It's my nature," replied the wasp. "Plus, I can fly, dumbass."

"Oh, yeah," said the frog. "Shit. I forgot."

Uncle Fester, Gomez, and Morticia Addams in a still from the 1960’s Addams Family TV show, sitting on their lawn (Fester and Morticia in chairs, Gomez on the ground). Fester gazes up at the moon, wearing protective sunglasses and holding a panel to reflect moonlight at himself. Gomez, in striped bathing suit, looks up with a telescope. Morticia, with sunglasses and a fan, stares straight ahead.

Blackthorne: I have concepts of a plan. If we come up with something I would only change it if we come up with something that’s better and less expensive. And there are concepts and options we have to do that and you’ll be hearing about it in the not too distant future Mariko: The Anjin has no plan

"You‘ve been kidnapped. The characters from the last tv show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who is coming to save you?” Considering their track record, my chances of being rescued are high. Unfortunately, my chances of being brutally tortured before I’m rescued are also high.

Black and White still from His Girl Friday. Stage right, Cary Grant’s Walter Burns on an old-fashioned candlestick telephone with the receiver to his ear.
