I wish there was a version of Tim & Eric with fewer human liquids. Exactly the same but without the wet foley noises. Release the dry cut.

I'm shocked. Shocked I tell you.
A note on the TLS website saying that an essay entiled 'AI and the crisi of the author' by Anchit Sathi has been removed because AI 'was used in its preparation'. TLS editorial guidlines prohibit the use of AI in writing and editing, although the author states that he was unaware of the policy.

In "Modern Fiction", Woolf raves about Chekhov's story "Gusev" ("as the eyes accustom themselves to twilight and discern the shapes of things in a room we see how complete the story is, how profound"). And she's right, it's an absolute banger. With the most absurd and moving death in all literature.
Gusev goes back to the sick bay and lies down on his cot. As before he suffers from some vague yearning, and he cannot figure out what he wants. There is a weight on his chest, a throbbing in his head, his mouth is so dry that he can hardly move his tongue. He dozes and mutters and, tormented by nightmares, coughing, and stuffiness, falls fast asleep towards morning. He dreams that they have just taken the bread out of the oven in the barracks, and he gets into the oven and has a steambath, lashing himself with birch branches. He sleeps for two days, and on the third day two sailors come from topside and carry him out of the sick bay. He is sewn up in canvas and, to weight him down, two iron bars are put in with him. Sewn up in canvas, he comes to resemble a carrot or a black radish, wide at the head, narrow towards the foot. . . Before sunset he is taken out on deck and laid on a plank; one end of the plank rests on the rail, the other on a box placed on a stool. Discharged soldiers and the ship's crew stand around him with their hats off.

Facebook discussion.
Theuns Bezuidenhout says: The entire poem is only the first two lines. I don't know where you got the rest of it from.
English Literature Gems replies: Thank you for pointing that out! 😊 You're absolutely correct. "In a Station of the Metro" consists of only two lines (plus the title). If additional lines appeared in my post, that was an error on my part. I appreciate your careful reading and the correction—it helps keep the discussion accurate. Thank you for your valuable contribution!

An AI slop account on Facebook called "English Literature Gems" posted this version of "In a Station of the Metro" with new hallucinated lines (and breathtaking rhymes)
In a Station of the Metro
Ezra Pound

The apparition of these faces in the crowd;
Petals on a wet, black bough.

These faces that I see
Inspire me with the desire
Of tender smiles that I may never see.

Not one of all the women that I see
Will interest me.

No, not one of all the millions
Will interest me.

And in the midst of this
I feel there is not one
To whom I can turn.

For these I have seen
Faces that I dream of all my life,
Faces that haunt me when I close my eyes.

Uncanny that Mary Shelley, at 18, knew how hard it was for adult men to make a new friend
… I greatly need a friend who would have sense enough not to despise me as romantic, and affection enough for me to endeavor to regulate my mind.
Well, these are useless complaints; I shall certainly find no friend on the wide ocean, nor even here in Archangel, among merchants and seamen.

A relative was throwing out this (apparently notorious?) charity record covering every song on Sgt Pepper, featuring Wet Wet Wet and a British rap version of the title track, but also somehow Sonic Youth, The Fall, The Wedding Present, and The Triffids. How bad can it be … ?
Back cover of LP, Sgt. Pepper Knew My Father, with a tracklist:

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band – The Three Wize Men
With a Little Help from My Friends – Wet Wet Wet
Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds – The Christians
Getting Better – The Wedding Present with Amelia Fletcher
Fixing a Hole – Hue & Cry
She’s Leaving Home – Billy Bragg with Cara Tivey
Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite! – Frank Sidebottom
Within You Without You – Sonic Youth
When I'm Sixty-Four – Courtney Pine Quartet
Lovely Rita – Michelle Shocked
Good Morning Good Morning – The Triffids
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise) – The Three Wize Men
A Day in the Life – The Fall

The Kinks "20th Century Man" lyrics

Ruled by bureaucracy
Controlled by civil servants
And people dressed in grey
Got no privacy, got no liberty
'Cause the twentieth century people
Took it all away from me
