I was always led to believe that the original mono mixes were what they were "supposed" to sound like so I never looked into the newer releases and remasters. Do you recommend them?

I grew up with the hard-panned-stereo original CD mix and could get tastes of these isolations by taking an earbud out. It sounds too clean - missing the vocals bleeding through, heh.

This feels different than that. I like to say sports on TV peaked about 30 years ago and has gotten worse as the original TV people who were there since the 50s and 60s retired. But that's in relation to the quality of the broadcast. This is enshittification of the content, not the broadcast
