Re-elect David and he’ll make an intersection safer! (An intersection on Cambrian the city allowed to open when the Food Basics was built and was entirely predictable would be a dangerous shitshow) Those stores the in background aren’t even open yet and it’s already dangerous. No sidewalks either.

The Western edge of the community is bordered by Borrisokane Rd. An 80km/h zone (drops to 60 at the new Cambrian/Borrisokane roundabout). Retail has opened and housing developed at Flagstaff. Despite the increase in traffic, the 80km/h limit remains there, and no turning lanes have been added.

With a closer look, you can see the sidewalks on the Northwest and Northeast terminate before the new retail. I see no evidence of a connecting sidewalk under construction despite the stores opening soon.

The map doesn’t show it but we now have retail stores on both sides. Residents have to walk on narrow dirt shoulders with their groceries.

Norbert is looking a little different these days! During late summer, male mallards molt out of their bright green head and bold colors, temporarily taking on a duller look similar to females. They even lose all of their flight feathers during this time, causing them to be flightless for 3-4 weeks. This
"eclipse plumage" helps them stay camouflaged while they regrow flight feathers and can't fly.
