Yesterday, Walter Frankenstein passed away at age 100. Roaming the streets of Berlin with his camera at a young age he was a passionate documenter of Germany under National Socialism and survived the war years and the Holocaust in hiding together with his wife and children.

Just coming out of a fun class teaching Ernst Lubitsch’s amazing wartime classic To Be or Not to Be (1942) and wanted to simply remind everyone that the film is available for free online via the Internet Archive (as are many other films suitable for teaching!)
