Over on Instagram, the thing seems to be styling your home “intentionally”; having a “reset” rather than tidying up and having a POV which isn’t a fucking point of view at all.

Eg
Extract from Dracula. You don’t see out funny! Ha ha! But that’s because you don’t go on the sorrowing mother was a hellcat that hated him because he was accrued – irregular limiter he was – and he hated her so that he committed suicide in order that she might get an insurance she put on his life. He blew neither the top of his head off with an old musket that they had for scaring the crows with. To for crows then for it brought the clerks and the Doubs to him. That’s the way he fell off the rocks. And as to the hopes of a glorious Resurrection, I’ve often heard him say Maisel that he hoped to go to hell, for his mother was so pious that she’d be sure to go to heaven and he didn’t want to add where she was. Now isn’t that Tina at any rate – he hammered it with his stick as he spoke – a pack of lies? Won’t it make Gabriel cackle when Georgie comes parting up the grease with his Tom steam balanced on his hump and asks it to be took as evidence

Imagine getting 96, 97,98,99 on the reading paper and realising you fall into the % reported as leaving primary school “illiterate”. (Spoiler : if you got this score you’d be able to read and comprehend these national media reports)

Great blog on SATs marking debacle. Important to note too that a score of 99 is below expected standard: that’s another child leaving primary school “illiterate” according to data widely used in media. The line between expected and illiterate is very fine indeed.

It makes me so sad when I see young leaders chasing exam outcomes, rather than being proud of running a school that is outstanding at serving the community it principally serves. Yes, leaders need to be on guard to ensure their schools are as successful as they can be. Success comes in many forms

Inclusion isn't always hard. #UkEd #EduSky
Ten tips: Communicating with learners who are deaf or partially hearing.
1	Speak normally: Speaking slowly or too loudly makes lip reading much more difficult.
2	Stay still: Moving around when talking makes it much harder to lip read.
3	Maintain eye contact: Face the deaf person and try not to look away or cover your mouth when talking.
4	Use gestures: Use simple gestures to communicate where possible. Use whatever is around you to point or demonstrate (pointing is not rude in deaf culture).
5	Get attention: Try waving, tapping lightly on their shoulder or knocking on a table (waving for attention is not rude in deaf culture).6	Do not talk when facing a whiteboard: Finish writing, then turn and speak.
7	Reduce background noise: Close the room door and do all you can to speak in a quiet environment.
8	Don’t say I’ll tell you later: Deaf learners say that “I’ll tell you later” is a pet hate. They want to be as informed as their peers. If one method doesn’t work, please improvise.
9	Write it down: Use old fashioned writing to communicate.
10	Be patient: It might take time. Don’t give up!
