"An 82-year-old woman driving an S.U.V. is believed to have been involved in the accident, the authorities said." Involved in the accident is such an interesting way to write that she hit him.

Safer streets shouldn't be delayed, watered down, or treated as a political inconvenience. Every day we wait is another day people risk their lives just trying to get around. www.bostonglobe.com/2026/07/10/m...

"To lose her on a morning commute at an intersection the city has explicitly documented as dangerous for years is just an unmitigated tragedy, a systemic failure." Deaths like Louisa's occur because our leaders prioritize the convenience of drivers over the safety of pedestrians and cyclists.

Harvard works because @hgsuuaw.bsky.social does! Solidarity with Harvard Graduate Student Workers as they fight for a fair contract with better wages, workplace protections from harassment and discrimination, and more. One day longer, one day stronger. America’s unions have your backs!

First of all who knows what took place and who bit what. But if this convo could in any way lead to my being disciplined or affect my personal working conditions, I request my steward or union officer (Jean) be present at the meeting. Without representation, I choose not to answer questions tbh

When it comes to road deaths, we often put the onus on people doing the dying rather than people doing the killing.

Maybe I went to a farm and sniffed up some avian flu in my sneaky cat nose. How would you even know? Not like they’re tracking that stuff for farm workers, who are literally such important people for us all

What’s up? Trying to figure out this new space, but in the meantime, Rhode Islanders, let’s keep banging down Whitehouse’s door on this RFK thing: Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) is a longtime friend of RFK, Jr. and reportedly has not yet committed to voting against him. Whitehouse: 202-224-2921

It’s a weird early bus week for RIPTA in Pvd. The schedules expect more traffic! Yesterday: 7min early at my stop then waited ~4min when I mentioned it Today (diff time and driver): 1min late at my stop but somehow got 5min ahead later and let everyone know that’s why he was waiting at each stop.

I'm excited about Bluesky and getting off Twitter, but the main reason I tweeted was to address RIDOT and sometimes the City of Providence. (They aren't here yet, right?) How long until more of our govt agencies are on here?
