10 years ago I lamented that Ryo Hirakawa’s Toyota backing meant that his door to F1 was shut. Things have changed obviously, but for all the chatter about him getting a full-time race seat I see so few scenarios where it doesn’t go really bad for a driver who, let’s not forget, turns 33 in March.
