I hired my kiddo to do some game/zine marketing for me. He insists this is a marketing meme format that works.

A while ago, because of plot, I got an NPC Red Cap as a follower. Now we've statted him up as a slayer at half the party's level and he's been a great addition. I've made him max his ranks in diplo because it turns out Red Caps speak Aklo.

I can easily see someone making a good blocklist against a certain demographic (Nazis, maga, troll accounts etc), before poisoning the list and just adding people they don't like to it.

I agree, but I do appreciate that the feature is there even if I don't choose to use it. I do think blocklists have the potential to be abused as any accounts that get added after you subscribe to a list automatically gets blocked.

I like them but I appreciate the fatigue. I think they're great for discovering new accounts, I never really used twitter so I don't really know who's who in the TTRPG space, but the lists have been great at discovering creators both big and small.
