Had a lovely time at the Symposium on Literature and Architecture 1660-1840 with the Georgian Group yesterday. Learned so much and talked to some cool people. The PhD fantasy is rearing its head again. It would just be so delightful to spend all my time thinking about Jane Austen and the C18th!

I remember watching those and really getting a lot out of them. Maybe next year I'll do Luke in Greek! The whole thing has left me with a LOT of theological questions to explore in the new year - definitely worth it!

Love this! (And I loved Fire Island.) In answer to the question, I do actually think that Austen dismisses or at least challenges the happy ending in marriage. Superficially, it's HEA but that is always undercut by irony or passed over.

I tried another during covid which delivered everything and it was good (it went out of business sadly) but once one of the cartons got stolen from my doorstep so I only do Simply Cook now. But the principle is good. Really helps with meal planning!
