If you become disabled, the system will do everything in its power to try and not help you. Disabled people have been telling you this for decades. We can't just get all of our needs met. Most barely get enough to survive. The system is designed to fail us.

Reminder to have some fresh cool water out for #wildlife when it's hot #heatwave, rocks and sticks help small animals from falling in, any old container will do. Place in shade or where you see insects congregate. I've seen Rosellas, honey eaters, bees and other insects have a drink💧☀️

Trickier but still possible and much safer than risking heat exhaustion. Don’t forget, exposing your body to heat today will make it much harder for your body to regulate temperature in tomorrow’s extreme heat.

I feel for you. It’s going to be 43 degrees here on Monday. No air conditioning and a health condition that means my body is more susceptible to heatstroke. I’m glad I got a second ice pack, so I can constantly have one on my neck or head. Hopefully we all get through it okay. 😬
