Wishplume Overview, An Open Species by Riverraptor12.

Head: small bony mask, no mouth, tall narrow ears, long ear hair, 1-3 eyes, horns + hair allowed

Limbs: scaly lower limbs, 3 fingers and toes, raptor claws on all limbs, additional limbs and wings are allowed

Body + tail: long body, long thin tail with plumy tip, cover in feathers and scales, can be any body shape, size, color, or pattern, can be anthros

Rules: try to keep any wishplumes consistant with general traits described, preferably not use them for any NSFW content, do not use them for anything hateful

Captors, a cosmopolitan genus of large cat, have claimed a position as one of Demeter's apex predators 15 million years hence. One of the many diverse descendants of feral cats that once provided pest control upon the agricultural colony, captors are highly specialized ambushers. A low, long body and short powerful bodies allow them to remain close the ground, sometimes exemplified by their tendancy to dig. Most species of captors dig out complex burrows. While solitary hunters, it isn't uncommon for captors to live in small clans and rear kits together. A main chamber provides protection for the young, generally cared for by a revolving door of their mothers, aunts, etc. And long tunnels radiate outward across the territory, exiting out towards common areas where prey are known to pass through like along watering holes, rivers, and plentiful grazing ground. Males and a small percentage of females will disperse from their natal groups to join or form new clans on productive territory.

To facilitate this digging lifestyle, captors have distinctive forepaws. All their claws are large and non-retractable, more like bears. On the forepaw, three are weightbaring while two are held aloft and feature giant semi-opposable sickles used to restrain prey while delivering a quick bite to their prey's cervical spine, paralyzing it. Prominent whiskers and a wide nose allow captors to navigate underground.

Gonna work on another Hyne's Inheritance creature after I'm done eating dinner. Cats, dogs, and hypercarnivorous pigs are the main large mammalian predators on Demeter. And I'm trying to come up with ideas that aren't too familiar. Like obviously convergent/parallel evolution will come to play. —

Cinnabar (lower left corner) is a young Basilisk courier. In her beak, she gently carries a scroll to be deliverred to the leader of a nearby village. Sometimes the simplest route is to follow the river. Follow the way the water flows and reshapes the earth. This river is a tributary of the Great Pryeplume, largest river basin in all Drecel. To the northeast, the Lerelorn mountains loom large.

A domesticated vesp flies ahead of her. Her beloved pet, Kipi. Marked by a collar and trained to fly in slow circles around her owner, Kipi keeps an eye and ear out for danger. But today, the river is calm. What morslin or migrating stonesharks that lurk beneath are well hidden and at rest.

On the opposing bank, a pair of chapaquill toddlefoxes drink and take stock. A large lunahorn brontobill makes way for the forests to return to his browsing. Even the direrne in the distance keeps a steady pace, aware of the potential prey but not showing interest in it. Perhaps she is just patrolling her territory or seeking out a previous kill to feed from. The herbivores are wary but not fearful, giving Cinnabar some peace of mind, although she is too small to normally garner the interest of a direrne.

Most striking of all is the young dragon gliding above. Cinnabar has heard stories of these majestic, lonely, fire-breathing people. She's tempted to track him down and introduce herself. Hear his stories. But she has a job to do.

Also pls don't expect me to be making any 3d models or renders anytime soon. I think its neat but I don't know how to do it beyond like very rudimentary autocad stuff I learned in high school. If I get the time and upgrade my hardware, maybe I'll see about learning blender or something.
