Izzy @riverraptor12.bsky.social · 13hMy current situation is I want to get a full time job so I can move out of my dad's house. I currently got a part time job. But it's not enough obviously and despite others interest or suggestions, no I don't want to start doing commissions. I don't want my fun hobby to become a side hussle. 020
Izzy @riverraptor12.bsky.social · 13hI feel like banging my head against something hard but that won't exactly fix my current situation. 110

Izzy @riverraptor12.bsky.social · 05/10/2026I got some line art done of tromerosaurus. I'll color and post it tomorrow. 010
Izzy @riverraptor12.bsky.social · 04/10/2026For real world examples of this phenomenon pls look to the sea cucumber. 000
Izzy @riverraptor12.bsky.social · 04/10/2026I know I keep mention pentaradial symmetry lately but truely my true love in alien sophont design is secondarily bilateral symmetry as seen with my tri-flyer and starfawn. #alien #aliens #specevo #specbio #creaturedesign 151

Izzy @riverraptor12.bsky.social · 03/10/2026I could probably do an asteroid strike au to implement this idea. But I also don't want to waste this idea on a franchise like Avatar (2009). Plus I'd probably need to do more research into historical examples. 010
Izzy @riverraptor12.bsky.social · 03/10/2026I probably won't end up writing either idea. I got plenty of my own original projects to work on. But this idea gives me brainworms sometimes, I crave some messy interstellar politics and character drama. Probably why I am enjoying Mass Effect so much right now. 010
Izzy @riverraptor12.bsky.social · 03/10/2026To Earth. Maybe the Eridians are encountered but Pandora is abandoned and faces mass extinction. Fast forward a few million years and I do a spec evo project about life on an ice age pandora. 110
Izzy @riverraptor12.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Eridians realizing "hey thats fucked up", and just going behind humanities back to administer taumeboa. Problem solved. Okay probably through in some like policial intrigue and drama but I think I got something there! And onto scenario two! 2. The RDA does nothing. All humans are called back — 110
Izzy @riverraptor12.bsky.social · 03/10/2026"Oh you want for your planet to not go into an ice age? Well luckily for you all we got the solution! And lots of other neat handy stuff! All you need to do is let us plunder and rape your planet and inflict some genocide! Only a little bit!" Thats how I picture the sales pitch. And maybe some — 110
Izzy @riverraptor12.bsky.social · 03/10/20261. The RDA probably would have the resources to save Earth and Pandora. They already got interstellar travel and cryotech, they could easily send a team of scientists to tau ceti and find the solution. Maybe meet the Eridians too. And then the RDA HANG THE SOLUTION OVER THE NA'VI'S HEADS! 110
Izzy @riverraptor12.bsky.social · 03/10/2026If I ever were to write a project hail mary fanfic then I'm afraid it would have to be a Avatar (2009) crossover au. I just find the idea of the astrophage infecting alpha centauri and driving Pandora into a potential ice age too interesting of a concept. From two angles: 122
Izzy @riverraptor12.bsky.social · 03/10/2026- how to do dna sequencing - how to make phylogenies - how toxic fungi are - how weird fungi reproduction is, it gives bryophytes a run for their money So yeah everything other than the actual mushrooms was incredible insightful 000
Izzy @riverraptor12.bsky.social · 03/10/2026What mostly sticks for me from that class I took 3 years ago was: - ai sucks - the biology department is underfunded - mold is everywhere - fungi is everywhere unless there is salt or zinc - there is fungi on Antarctica (did research on that for class group project) - the basics of linux - tbc 200
Izzy @riverraptor12.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Yes I did take a mycology class in undergrad. No I don't know how to identify and forage for edible mushrooms. I don't like eating mushrooms except for this one time when I had them in sliders. That was tasty. But mushrooms taste like how the snails I feed Yoshi smell, gross and earthy and wet. 100
